So what's gonna happen.

The repugs will pass something thru both houses and Obama will veto it.

Louie Gohmert will be butthurt, and they'll try impeachment before July.

Just my guess.

North Carolina has been called for the Republican. That's the sixth pick up.

Joni Ernst too.

It's gonna be like having Michelle Bachmann in the Senate.

Bring. It. On.

The donks are already guaranteed to re-take the Senate in '16 (a completely reversed map of seats to defend from this year,) and a politically-motivated impeachment would be their best hope for taking the House as well, gerrymandering notwithstanding.

Is the GOP stupid enough to do it? We'll see.

To all the Dems who ran as Republican lites a big fuck you. How did running away from a record high stock market, the ACA, and under 6% unemployment work out for you?

Well we survived 8 years of GWBush, we'll get thru this.

I'm expecting a huge cockup from the GOP.

But I don't know how many wars we will be involved in by xMas 2015.

Perfect... The Republicans will screw up in the next two years and President Hillary will run and be elected with House and Senate back to the Democrats.

No worries...

Look President Obama has had a great run, and will be remembered as one of the more effective Presidents, for some time to come.

True Kate. I am turning on a cooking channel. But, though and so forth...Tressell is still in jail, Class too. Orly is still winless and Gimme is in The FEMA Camp. More to look forward to, in small ways. Hugs.

Prediction for the next couple of years - Gridlock and obstructionism. I believe that the GOP will throw a bone to the tea party types and the birthers by bringing impeachment charges, knowing full well there's not enough votes to sustain it. (It's basically so they can say "see, we TRIED!!")

I also believe we're going to see the remaining birthers get their third or fifth wind.

And I think we can kiss any chances of meaningful campaign reform or getting "Citizens United" overturned goodbye. Welcome to the modern era of big money = big votes.

Cynical?? Why yes, yes I am.

And while that idiot referendum 591 here in Washington State was shot down, that equally stupid 594 seems to be passing. Feh.

Well Alaska is gonna get Recreational Pot, minimum wage raised to $9.75 or $1 higher than fed min wage, we protected Bristol Bay fish, and we're gonna get unions for city workers back.

All very progressive, so why do we keep electing Neanderthals to the senate & house?

My prediction? They are gonna shut the government down again because "it was so successful in getting them the senate etc etc." They could possibly do it in December. Why the fuck not? And this time they will do it "right." No more of this whimpy compromise with the devil Obama! Lets keep the government shut down till everyone sees they don't need it!! LONG LIVE THE HANDFUL OF TEA PARTY CLOWNS!!

And the Progressives who kept telling everyone that "Obama gave away social Security and so is a DINO" etc etc will start denying it had anything to do with them just like in 2010, and The Democrats will deny it was their fault for running away from Obama just like what happened in 2010.

Personally I have a terrific sense of apathy about the whole thing. Sorry, but if the US population are so fucking stupid to elect these morons then its time they eat what they have cooked. Its not going to be pretty but fuck it. Its time Democrats learned that the Midterms are important and running as Bud Lite makes people go for Bud.

Citizens United is a pain in the arse.

Obama might as well put his feet up for the next couple of years.

Veto has now entered President Obama's vocabulary. Otherwise, it'll be same old gridlock.
