Richardson's friends told Channel 3 that she was not vaccinated -- only because she did not know the effect the vaccine could have on her newborn.

Richardson leaves behind her husband and their daughter.

Heartbreaking that disinformation doomed her and her child. And she was a nurse! What a nightmare we are living (and dying) through. :crying:
The FDA didn't announce that the vaccine was safe for pregnant women and their fetus until 3 weeks ago. Richardson developed covid ... 3 weeks ago.

I completely understand Richardson's choice. She was a labor and delivery nurse. She had seen what happens to fetuses are exposed to medications that are unsafe for fetuses.

Unless my OBGYN explained to me the safety of the vax in detail, with research studies, before the FDA's announcement, I would have made the same choice. 100%.

That's a good point, although I have definitely seen things over the last six months indicating pregnant mothers should get the vax, I guess it wasn't the FDA announcement though. And I know pregnant mothers who have received it, so that probably colors my view. In light of this recent study though, all pregnant moms to be should be getting it post haste!
Pregnant women with COVID-19 are 15 times more likely to die, 14 times more likely to need to be intubated, and 22 times more likely to have pre-term birth than those who are uninfected

Damn, that's sad. Super duper sad.

I'm certain most OBGYNs were advising their patients to vaccinate before the FDA announcement. But I can understand a mother's decision to wait for FDA approval.

Covid is evil.

“Covid: Vaccine complications dwarfed by virus risks”:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-58347434

“A major review of vaccines suggests the AstraZeneca jab does raise the risk of blood clots and another serious condition that can cause bleeding.
But the study found the risk of such problems following a coronavirus infection was still much higher.
The University of Oxford-led team also found an increased risk of stroke after the Pfizer jab - but again at a much lower rate than after infection.”
The team said it once again showed the "substantial" benefit of vaccination.

But still, I think some people might want a safer vax and have info before they choose. It's not just anti-vaxers who are concerned. Coming from a family that has a history of severe vaccination reactions. Just saying it's rare isn't helpful. We are the people who populated the "rare" reactions.

And we still got covid vaccinated. But it's scary and risky. We needed to have emergency care if we have a reaction. I felt very safe being vaxed in a hospital with a nurse monitoring me who also has had anaphylaxis.

EEOC regarding allowing pregnant employees to work from home as an accommodation stated that although the CDC said it was fine to vaccinate pregnant women, there needs to be a discussion. Consider allowing work from home. I've encounter that situation. Supervisors demanded the pregnant workers go to the office. When I speak with the bosses, I ask how will they feel if the employee loses the baby. Do you really want to experience that? It's so simple to provide an alternative.

A friend told me that hours after having the AZ jab, he was sitting at the dining table, when he suddenly projectile vomited pints of black blood. Over the next 4 days, he suffered bleeding from his rectum, had blood in his semen and came up in bruises all over his body.

Blood in his semen? So while projectile vomiting black blood he took the time to masturbate?

They deserve to NOT be taking up valuable hospital beds. They don't want the fully approved vax, but instead want to take random HORSE MEDICATION? Let them deal with it at home, they've made their decision and it flies in the face of modern medicine, why go to the hospital at all?

Idiots though, for sure.

Blueflag at FreeRepublic has is all figured out -

Have any prominent/powerful Dems or 'Progressives' become ill and/or hospitalized from COVID?
Have any prominent/powerful Dems or 'Progressives' become ill and/or hospitalized from COVID? I ask because I cannot recall anyone of real power, privilege or influence becoming ill, NOT just "I tested positive", and/or hospitalized.

I recall Mr. and Mrs. Tom HAnks were 'ill' but not hospitalized, but cannot think of ANY since. Any prominent member of the House, Senate or Media?

We've seen numerous "far right!!!" people fall ill, and several recently passing away.

This leads me to wonder, did 'they' get the REAL vaccine?

I mean after all, why else would they feel free to attend the several public super-spreader events (0bama birthday .g.) without a care in the world? And notably maskless?

Inquiring minds.

Follow Occam's Razor - if all of us ostensibly got the 'same' vaccine, yet serious infections are aligned to power and privilege ... and political party, then all did NOT get the same vaccine.

Asking for a friend.
:stars: :tinfoil:

So... it's not that the Democrats are following medical guidelines, it's that they are getting the real vaccine while Republicans are getting something else.

Good grief.

Two Top F.D.A. Vaccine Regulators Are Set to Depart During a Crucial Period
The announcement that Dr. Marion Gruber and Dr. Philip Krause will leave this fall comes as the agency conducts sensitive reviews of coronavirus vaccines for children and booster shots.

By Noah Weiland and Sharon LaFraniere
Aug. 31, 2021

WASHINGTON — Two of the Food and Drug Administration’s top vaccine regulators will leave the agency this fall, a development that could disrupt its work on deciding whether to recommend coronavirus vaccines for children under 12 and booster shots for the general population.

Dr. Marion Gruber, the director of the F.D.A.’s vaccines office, will retire at the end of October, and her deputy, Dr. Philip Krause, will leave in November, according to an email that Dr. Peter Marks, the agency’s top vaccine regulator, sent to staff members on Tuesday morning. One reason is that Dr. Gruber and Dr. Krause were upset about the Biden administration’s recent announcement that adults should get a coronavirus booster vaccination eight months after they received their second shot, according to people familiar with their thinking.

Neither believed there was enough data to justify offering booster shots yet, the people said, and both viewed the announcement, amplified by President Biden, as pressure on the F.D.A. to quickly authorize them.

LHI is a special part of NSW

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-09-08/ ... /100433614

Lord Howe Island's population reaches 95 per cent fully vaccinated

While NSW is chasing a 70 per cent double-dose vaccination target, Lord Howe Island off the coast of Port Macquarie has hit about 95 per cent.

Key points:
The island has not had a single case of COVID-19 since the pandemic started
Most of the population, including 12-15 year olds, have been vaccinated
Though holidaymakers are not allowed in as it's in lockdown, island accommodation is booked out for more than a year

The majority of the 400 residents who live on the island, which has not had a single case of COVID-19 since the pandemic began, have had two shots of the Pfizer vaccine.

The island is considered regional NSW and is currently in lockdown just like everyone else in the state.

RWNJ Twitter is going WILD. SCOTUS addressed this in 1905, The Jacobson holding is other people have a liberty interest in being free from infectious disease. A community has the right to protect itself. Cry more (and get vaccinated). They are blasting misinformation. But Twitter is not the real world.

Wow! This is so exciting! There's a clinical starting for an AIDS mRna vaccine starting too... and Moderna is showing they can *combine* them.

Yes! I've been so excited about these possibilities ever since we first heard how surprisingly effective they were with a concomitant explanation of how they worked, about a year ago.

I knew rwnj would go apeshit about vaccine requirements. I think Biden was wise to try to rely on companies stepping up with mandatory vaccinations for employment, but it's clearly not enough.

France bans unvaccinated American travelers

(CNN) — France has become the latest European country -- and the most significant tourism destination -- to remove the United States from its safe travel list, following EU recommendations in the wake of a US Covid spike.

A French government decree issued on Thursday bumped the United States and Israel from the country's "green" list, down to "orange," effectively prohibiting nonessential travel to France for unvaccinated visitors.

Under France's rules, unvaccinated travelers from either country will still be allowed in provided they have an essential reason for travel, however they'll need a negative Covid-19 test before travel and must quarantine for seven days on arrival.

France's move follow restrictions imposed on US travelers from several other European destinations. Earlier this week, Spain changed its entry policy for arrivals from the US, requiring them to have a certificate proving double vaccination.
https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/fran ... index.html

My son and DIL are on their long-delayed honeymoon in France. They are, of course, fully vaccinated. They have vaccine "passports" on their phones which they've had to scan at the Louvre, every winery and every restaurant. It is easy and they like it.
