No one really expected the US to act contrary to its own interests in the past.

Now that Donnie has proven that to be not the case, it does undermine other nations belief in the US a Government stability and willingness to act in a sane way.

Trump is seen as a symptom of the disease in the US body politic. It will require some pretty major surgery before previous levels of trust are regained (if ever).

That's probably Russian as well. At that level, the bank is somewhere between clerk/clearing house for the loan, which is often funded by a client of the bank who "wink wink" is not known to the borrower.

Deutsche Bank has already been caught laundering Russian mob money this way, so its hardly a stretch their best borrower and their best lender might have a few deals.
