What We Know About Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Pedophile Island’
Interesting reading. Is this the Prime Minister mentioned in the records release last Friday?

:snippity:
Additionally, the former prime minister of Israel Ehud Barak told the Daily Beast that he had visited the island, though he explicitly said that he did not meet Epstein “in the company of women or young girls.”

No autopsy yet? What is it now, four days? On Sunday MSNBC was saying it was coming out any minute now, and then it changed to coroner needed more info (or something like that). Now we're still waiting.

Lawsuits ahoy:

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-cour ... n_20190814

:snippity: Araoz's case was not cited in the sex-trafficking indictment filed against Epstein in July. After his indictment and after she went public with her allegations, she was interviewed by both the FBI and federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York as part of their investigation of Epstein. Araoz is continuing to cooperate as the criminal focus turns to any potential Epstein co-conspirators, her attorneys told NBC News. Araoz attorney Kimberly Lerner said Araoz has been assigned a victim number by the FBI, and has also been in touch with the Manhattan district attorney's office. :snippity:
Given the circumstances, I’m not surprised that the coroner’s report and cause of death aren’t yet available. It’s an investigation. My mom died at home alone. Though we knew it was ridiculous, the coroner initially suspected suicide. She thought so because they found 3 empty rX bottles on her nightstand, per the EMT and police reports. When the coroner called to gently break this news to me and ask me some questions, I became a witness. The pills were prescribed for her a month before when she was visiting me and had to go to the ER. They were (1) an antibiotic, (2) her blood pressure med, and (3) ferrous sulfate (iron). (The coroner knew the names of the drugs by then and thought they were an odd choice for suicide 🙄). She had finished them all. They were on her nightstand because she had called me a few days prior to ask me to look up side effects, because she was trying to figure out some symptoms she was having. The tox report showed no drugs or alcohol in her system. The investigation then turned to natural causes and was ultimately determined to be a heart attack, confirmed by blood taken shortly after she died, as well as all of her doctors, whom the coroner contacted and got records from (including the out of state docs she had seen when visiting me.) All that took weeks.

So what I’m saying is that all this information we’re learning — and more — is part of the investigation. The coroner is likely considering whether homicide (death at the hands of another) may be in play, even though it appears to be a suicide. Conspiracy theorists should welcome that the coroner wants to tie up any loose ends.

I agree. I worked in the pathology lab of a major urban hospital in the 80s/90s. (Some day, if I make it to a meet-up, ask me about the day a newbie transport driver called.) Any high profile case like this will be double, triple, quadruple checked. Better to get it right then have to come back and make a correction.

NBC News: Jeffrey Epstein accuser Jennifer Araoz sues Ghislaine Maxwell, 3 Epstein staffers

Jennifer Araoz alleges she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by Jeffrey Epstein at his New York townhouse when she was 14 and 15, including a 2002 forcible rape. ...

Kaiser also said that if any powerful men participated in Epstein's alleged sex trafficking, they are also enablers, and he would consider adding names to the suit as facts dictate.

"Our nation should not tolerate this kind of abuse at the hands of the elite and the plutocrats," he said.

From bob's post in the 'weird headlines' thread;
A man participating in a taco eating contest at a Fresno Grizzlies baseball game died, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

Dana Hutchings, 41, was pronounced dead at Community Regional Medical Center after being rushed there from Chukchansi Park on Tuesday night, the coroner’s office said Wednesday.

There is no official cause of death pending toxicology reports and a review of the man’s medical records. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, though it could take up to a month for a final determination to be made, coroner’s spokesman Tony Botti said.
It's not all unusual for autopsy results to take weeks or months. Occasionally they'll release partial results before the tox screens are back, but even that usually takes a few weeks.

Report: Epstein autopsy finds broken bones in his neck

An autopsy performed on Jeffrey Epstein showed he "sustained multiple breaks in his neck bones," the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

People familiar with the autopsy report told the newspaper the bones broken in Epstein's neck included the hyoid bone, which is near the Adam's apple.

This sort of break can happen when a person hangs themselves or dies by strangulation, forensics experts told the Post.

Epstein, 66, was found dead in the special housing unit of the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on Saturday. He was in a cell by himself.

Autopsy finds broken bones in Jeffrey Epstein’s neck, deepening questions around his death
An autopsy found that financier Jeffrey Epstein sustained multiple breaks in his neck bones, according to two people familiar with the findings, deepening the mystery about the circumstances around his death.

Among the bones broken in Epstein’s neck was the hyoid bone, which in men is near the Adam’s apple. Such breaks can occur in those who hang themselves, particularly if they are older, according to forensics experts and studies on the subject. But they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation, the experts said.

The details are the first findings to emerge from the autopsy of Epstein, a convicted sex offender and multimillionaire in federal custody on charges of sex trafficking. He died early Saturday morning after guards found him hanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan and he could not be revived.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... story.html

From the comments:
Putting it all together:

- Epstein autopsy found multiple neck bone fractures, more commonly found in homicidal strangulation.
- Off suicide watch
- left alone in cell
- BOTH guards fell asleep for the same 3 hours
- Lied on logs
- No cameras
- "shrieking" heard before his death
- Previously found on floor in fetal position, claimed he was attacked, but official radio silence on this.
- Trump and Giuliani are on Twitter blaming the Clinton's

Something stinks in Crooked Barr's department.

It's the NY Post so there's that, but there is some interesting information here. It says that Epstein hung himself 's body was found hung (not assigning blame, just generalizing) from the frame of the top bunk and was found on his knees. Considering the hyoid bone (which can be broken other than being strangled to death, although strangulation is the most common cause) I can see rolling off the top bunk doing significant damage.*

It also says, according to Epstein's lawyers, he was almost delusional in his belief that he was going to beat the charges, and still had a chance of house arrest on appeal. They say he was upbeat and looking forward to Sundays meeting. Again, it's the Post, and the remarks came from Epstein's lawyers who may have a reason to keep the CT going.

https://nypost.com/2019/08/14/jeffrey-e ... use-death/

Working with various ERs across the country, I saw my share of hyoid bone injuries and they weren't all attempted murders. A car accident, a freak fall, a fight, being struck in the throat with a heavy object, can do the job. That said a "broken" hyoid is usually fatal as it results in asphyxiation.

Wouldn’t he need to jump off something to get the rope to break a bone? Can it be broken just from body weight? Can you jump off the top bunk?

Yep, it can be broken from just body weight. I read something just now that said even in cases where part of the body still has support, broken neck bones are found on 5% of cases. I'll get the link later.

You can basically jump straight up from a standing position and do a cannonball and break bones in your neck
