I'm seeing there will be an announcement coming today on his health. Anyone?

This isn't the announcement, but here's some background:

NY Post: Mitch McConnell dodges health questions despite bruised face, bandaged hands:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he has no health issues of concern — despite sporting bruises and bandages on his hands this week.

The 78-year-old Kentucky senator dodged questions about his health from reporters in the Capitol Thursday, CNN reported.

Asked whether he had any health issues, McConnell answered, “of course not,” and then didn’t respond when asked if he was being treated by a doctor.

Later, McConnell — who is up for re-election — said there were “no concerns” when asked by the network about the bruises on his hands and whether he had any other health issues.

* * *

Last year, McConnell, who is married to US Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, suffered a fractured shoulder in a fall at his Kentucky home. He underwent triple bypass heart surgery in 2003.

missing any official info my guess is either had his wrist caught in a heavy door, or he made a stumble and landed badly on that hand.

I suggested last night that the hand was caused by McConnell engaging in excessive Toobining.

I'll just show myself out and allow that image to percolate in everyone's psyche.

Happens a lot, older people on blood thinners. I've seen a lot of bad sticks and bruising, I was always the one they came after when no one could get a vein on a patient. Not to toot my own IV horn from back in the day but "I" never missed.

He has bandaids on his other hand and bruising on the other hand and his face, too. I'll find the pics and BRB . . .

Here they are. I suspect this is from a fall.

Falling in older people can be a sign they aren’t much longer for this world — either cause or effect or both.

Conformations? If he did fall and his face does give that appearance, I hope it hurt like hell!

His left hand doesn't look all that healthy either. I'd say diabetes if his feet looked like that.

Don't get too excited...things like a change in medicine can also cause falls, damn cat/dog getting underfoot, or just a simple misstep and not able to catch yourself (did that and no, I'm not close to dying).

I said on the other thread that it looked like Dumbledore’s hand when he wore the horcrux ring.

For those unfamiliar with Harry Potter, Voldemort (the bad wizard), wanted to live forever. He divided his soul into seven pieces, and magically infused each piece into ordinary objects. The idea was that if he got killed off somehow, he could come back to life by retrieving his souly bits from these objects. The objects were called horcruxes.

Dumbledore (the good wizard) was trying to locate and destroy the horcruxes. One of the horcruxes was a ring. Dumbledore found it and put it on his hand, and the bad magic started to kill him.

This is what it looked like:

So maybe McConnell’s been wearing part of Trump’s soul.

Understood, but this could be why they don’t want to say he fell. It is a hallmark of poor outcomes in the aging.

CNN just reported that McConnelll basically said that he's fine, it's no one's business, and don't ask again.
