Not really related to child safety seats, but I remember a story a couple of years ago, about a woman whose child was sitting right behind her and found the loaded 45 automatic that the woman had left laying on the back seat. The kid shot her through the back of the front seat.

Fortunately, she was not seriously injured. Just about any gunshot is serious, but IIRC her wounds were not life-threatening.

I am always amazed at the cavalier attitude some gun nuts have about gun safety or even gun care. They really have no respect for the object they claim to adore.

Well... Boebert shows no respect for the safety of others, or even herself. She is probably more likely to get COVID in the House Chamber than be shot by an attacker but it is the gun she demands to keep, and the mask she refuses to wear. Unfortunately, despite her and other gun nut protestations, their gun obsession is not about protection but about intimidation.

I have a half brother who I've never met who has about twice that many entries in the WI Courts web pages. These are since his 18th birthday, btw. Most are small things. Mary Jane at first. Then DUI. The final one involved a DUI and him ending up in prison for several years. For some reason the State of Wisconsin ended up sending him to Tennessee to serve his sentence. Little things add up. They also show the character of the person.
