All White House social media will be wiped out for the new administration so last chance to screenshot or save some of the great memories of the last eight years. Thank you President Obama!
On Jan. 20, the incoming Trump administration will benefit from much of that work. Trump, the Obama White House has said, will inherit the @POTUS and @WhiteHouse Twitter accounts, complete with their 12 million and 13 million accumulated followers, respectively. The sites will be scrubbed clean, their contents archived. Same goes for official accounts on Facebook, Medium, Tumblr and YouTube.The @PressSec handle and its 1.2 million followers will also pass from Josh Earnest to whomever Trump appoints to that post.

If you are looking for a post or page on the Obama administration’s WhiteHouse.gov from 2009 through 2017, you can find it by changing the URL to ObamaWhiteHouse.gov.
