There's a YouTube Channel, C&Rsenal, who've dedicated themselves to document the history of every firearm used in World War I.

Othias and Mae, with some other folks behind the scenes who do graphics, provide reloaded ammunition, etc, are deep into the world of turn of the century firearms that ended up on the battlefields of the "Great War".
Much interesting history, and their side project of testing hand traps (clay pigeon throwers for shotgun practice) is highly entertaining.
I will disable the forum and update the software tomorrow morning, around 6 or 6:30 a.m. "This version is a maintenance release ... which introduces a number of improvements aimed at enhancing the user experience and overall stability of the software and resolves some issues noticed in previous releases."
