Re: Dogs!
Today Rosie went on a long walk along a trail in the woods beside an old railroad track with a bunch of Unitarians and kids. She was the star of the show and all the kids wanted to take turns walking her. She had a wonderful time and is currently passed out by my feet.

I am doing the best I can! There is a fabulous opposing candidate who made the national news and the Fogbow* scene - Dr.Chris Jones who is a real physicist. He is the political equivalent to Dr. Neil DeGrasse Tyson. I've already contributed. Pony up some money so I can pay more folks to weave and lay garlic!Frater I*I wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 10:26 pmNo. I'm sorry adopted grandma, you have to keep up the garlic string around your state to ward off the evil succubus Sarah Sanders...Tiredretiredlawyer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 8:21 pm Can I stay with you and Rosie? Re: Dogs!
She's such a funny little thing. This morning she noticed there were little bows made of ribbon on my house slippers and she was hell bent to get that damn thing off of there growling and yanking at it as I was trying to walk until she got the entire slipper off and then ran away with her prizeTiredretiredlawyer wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 8:21 pm Can I stay with you and Rosie? The kids are supposed to be home today so I should be rid of the little shit before long, but I have no doubt she'll be back on Grandkid days M-W-F

Re: Dogs!
We have apparently acquired a dog. No idea what kind she is or how old or anything else about her except she is not chipped. She's playful like a puppy but doesn't chew. My son stopped in the middle of the road to check on her and she hopped in the car with him. She is incredibly sweet, and doesn't bark unless someone comes up on the porch. She will stand on her hind legs until you acknowledge her without ever jumping up on you. We're working on peeing and pooping outside and learning to sit, but she does pretty well on a leash.

My husband calls her "We're not keeping that dog, are we?" and I call her "Dog." We only found her 3 days ago and I don't want to get too attached as long as we're trying to find her owner.

Re: Dogs!
Anybody have any idea what kind she is? We think maybe a terrier of some sort, but we've only ever had big dogs so we're clueless. She looks just like the dog on the Cesar dog food cans.

Hi, doggie! Hooboy, you’ve found yourself a good place.
She looks like some kind of terrier, maybe Westie in the mix!
Name: Petunia?

The Caesar's dog is a West Highland White Terrier, which this might be, but I don't know from dog breeds.

Re: Dogs!
My mom and dad have a yorkiepoo (I fucking hate that dog) and theirs was over $1000. Their dog is literally the only reason we didn't already have a dog. We were concerned that getting a small dog would mean constant yapping and ignoring when you called for it and running like a maniac. We're too old to be chasing a damn dog all the time and worrying about her shooting out the door. No jumping up on us or slobbering either. She also seems to be really smart. It took her less than 24 hours to recognize the sound of the treat bag, and to know where they are. I bathed her yesterday and there are irritated places behind both ears that look like they were possibly caused by pulling against a leash or something from being tied up. I took her on the leash yesterday and she didn't strain against it or anything.

Re: Dogs!
I also hate Yorkies, too. The only dog that ever bit me was a Yorkie, when I tried to stop it from stealing my food.

Re: Dogs!
That’s beautiful, Notaperson. And timely. We have to say goodbye to Maybedog tomorrow. Obviously, we’re heartsick about it, but it’s time. He’s fifteen, he has a bunch of conditions that they can’t really treat, hasn’t really eaten much in the last few weeks, and now he can’t really stand up.

Goodbye, Maybedog. You’ve had a good life with humans who love you. Say hi to all my TooSoons over the Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry, Maybenaut. It sounds like he's ready to go (we all have to go sometime). But I'm sure he has loved you as much as you love him.
