Hey Foggy - can we remove the "?" from this thread title now?

What a piece of caca place Grant County must be.
Nah. It's nice enough. Big county with low population. Less than one person per square mile country. Palmer moved from sheriff to county commissioner - from LEO to politician. So, he's locked in his retirement.
It's absolutely beautiful in Grant County
I took occasion to drive across part of the county during a trip about 18 months ago. It was along a route that cuts pretty much dead-center through Oregon. That morning we left Madras and ended up not far from Juntura. We took a route that passed through Post and other towns and eventually crossed the north end of Malheur Forest joining 395 around Seneca.
Amazing country
But I will say this. Reasonable or not, knowing who the Sheriff was, I was very nervous when I was driving in Grant County.
I recommmend a trip through the middle of Oregon to anyone who is able, at least once in your lifetime. Just know there is a lot of "middle" to Oregon, so plan wisely
