It's okay.

Just for extra info. The reason my elder cousin connected with this song back then. He was married. His wife cheated and had a child-- a daughter. Cousin did not know it but the elders in the family told him. (I was still just 20 something-I didn't know) (I know now, and who the father truly is)

My cousin drank himself to death over it.

So if you can listen to that song and put it in context/perspective, you may understand what happened..

There's a disturbing lack of K-pop on this thread. Here, have the latest from BTS.

Ok, we'll do one "manufactured" boy band.

K-pop is the same fake as all of that Backstreet Boys. Sorry.

Though I've always loved Seeger and this song, the absolute gut-wrenching joy I felt when I watched this video at a tiny internet cafe in Futaleufu, Chile, was the happiest I can remember now. We could go nowhere in the tiny village that people didnt congratulate us and all TVs were turned to the events.

Everytime I watch it it brings back the feeling of hope and the joy I felt. Thanks, Kendra for posting it.

I loved this song and sang it all the time. From then on my mother called me Maggie to her dying day!

Since I was a single digit young’un summertime weekends often brought my cousins visiting. All of my first cousins were old enough to have been my parents and by the time they had kids I was old enough to watch them when they all came up. And when they came they came with jugs of whiskey, pots of stew, guitars, banjos, dobros, you name it. They played music, sang and party all weekend. Amazing how talented they all were and there I sat couldn’t play a damn thing or carry a tune in a bucket! My aunt Pat took pity on me and taught me to play the spoons just so I could join in

Also, too, my mom loved boogie woogie and danced the Jitterbug back in her day, she was a heck of a dancer as well as played the guitar and piano so there was also a lot of music like this in the house but she couldn’t play piano like this

Freakin' mindboggling he's participated in soooooo much music.

This track is epic however:

I absolutely loved this song when I was young. You could (and can) bounce to it. They did that well.

ETA: This song was the first video broadcast on MTV when it debuted. -- and, ya know, actually did videos... :?

Folk Alley is presenting a 24-hour tribute to Dylan by various artists.

"This week on Folk Alley join Elena See to celebrate the great Bob Dylan's 80th Birthday with tributes by Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Joan Baez, Richie Havens, Dolly Parton, and Tim O'Brien; new covers from Dave Alvin, Emma Swift, and Wesley Schultz; and of course, a couple classics by the man himself."
