Ooh yeah. We're given these life lessons a lot, but if you don't recognize them, they're lost. It's been thirty years or more, but I clearly remember this one morning commute. I sat waiting at the off ramp light as the truck I had to pass miles ago rumbles along the highway.

If I had stayed behind him, I would have been third in line at the light instead of second.

We have lots of friends we have made over the years, mostly here, but there's a bond with Jim and Judy that no other has matched. I wish we had met earlier, but I'm very thankful for the time we had together and for the time we will have with Judy in the future.

Stories of people finding life long friends they've never met before are not uncommon. They are always great to hear.

I have that happen often here. My weekday travels include a section of the local highway (SR 18). This section is well-known for having at least one WHP officer on duty almost around the clock, so I've had the joy of being passed by persons traveling at a high rate of speed and then waving at them as they sit on the shoulder as the officer writes them a ticket. I also, on a daily basis, am passed by vehicles which MUST get ahead of me, only to wind up right behind them waiting for the light at Issy Ho Road.

Domino's has gluten free pizza, which is important for my family. My ex's family has several with celiac. My kiddo was the first diagnosed with it , but once tested, there were a lot relatives who were tested as well. They are happy with Domino's. I wish there were more fast food/restaurants that provide information about gluten.

Sadly, even though I have some good pizza places around here which I order from, I also find myself ordering from Dominos from time to time.

This probably goes along with my tendency to sometimes have Chef Boyardee ravioli (though I do add some extra spices and sometimes some mushrooms, but they are non-fresh as well). I guess somedays, there is always room for mass-produced comfort foot.

omg! Hit the frozen food section! Even Lean Cuisine makes decent ravioli! One filled with butternut squash is divine! Cook two if one is not enough food for you,

It has nothing to do with getting descent ravioli or even lack of time or resources. I can and do pick up better stuff at the store, or half make my own, or get good stuff from the various Italian places nearby, including the one I can nearly see from here. It is more a matter of the craving for that canned stuff I had as a kid. Even though I add to it (as is my way), it is still the same stuff from my childhood I enjoy from time to time.

I know it's strange, but there it is.

The rational mind says it's purely math. 60mph is a mile a minute. But, you can't do sixty on city streets. You're lucky to average 25mph in city traffic. The irrational mind casts that all aside saying it's important to go as fast as possible all the time no matter the risk. Rushing from light to light makes a difference.

If driving were a rally race, perhaps the speedy driver would place first often. Unfortunately for Them, no one is standing at Their destination with a checkered flag and a bouquet of flowers congratulating Them for the spectacular effort.

When I drive the 34 miles to see my son in South East London the first 20 odd miles takes about 30 minutes, the remaining 14 miles takes up to 1 hour 50 minutes. Quite often see easily recognisable vehicles from miles ago that have taken different routes to the same hold-up. Patience is a virtue.

I woke up this morning and attempted to stand when I got hit with a wave of vertigo so bad I couldn’t stand, my head was just rolling and my eyes couldn’t focus on anything. Thankfully there was a Dr. in bed with me who sprang to my rescue. I was finally able to get up after it settled down and was escorted to the couch in the Library with my pillow and a bucket just in case. Luckily I didn’t need the bucket and now I’m sitting up and can even walk slowly. That was very scary but I seem to be doing fine now.

I had vertigo once before probably 30 years ago. That is some crazy shit I have to say. I was alone the 1st time and remember trying to get to the bathroom and having to literally hang on to the carpet so I didn’t fall off the floor. Awful stuff!

I've never had vertigo, but I've passed out twice. Weird experience. I think the sound I remember the second time was my head hitting the floor.

Daisy, it’s called BPV, right? Benign Positional Vertigo. It’s a peripheral vestibular disorder; crystal things get loose in your ear canal and wreak havoc.

It’s happened to me several times, and Whatever4 has had a few episodes, too. After the first time, it was more than a year before I had it again, but I’ve also had two episodes in a week, which is really scary.

The first time it happened was about two weeks before the stroke. Doc says there’s no connection, but of course I didn’t quite believe him, so I was worried the next time it happened, but it passed without problems.

The last time it happened I was walking the dog down the road and I thought I heard a car coming up behind us. I looked behind me just as he went after a squirrel, yanking me hard*. I made it home, just barely, literally spider-walking on hands and feet up the last steep grade because I couldn’t stand.

I hate it but so far it truly has been benign.

* You laugh, but this pug is a freaking linebacker. He’s knocked mr520 off balance, and he’s a big guy.

I get cravings for the Chef Boyardee pizza kits that we used to have when I was a kid. They don’t sell them in Canada any longer.

But they no longer sell Chef Boyardee spaghetti sauce, which I miss terribly and when I started having trouble finding it I bought cases of it when I did. Its no longer on their website so I think they quit making it.

That is correct. I've been living with BPV for about 20 years. Had an ear infection get out of control and hit my inner ear and did permanent damage. I've adapted over the years, and some days are better than others. I don't think I'll be walking any tight ropes anytime soon.

I suggest Dramamine Non Drowsy (aka Meclazine). 50mg per day helps me when the spins are bad and is the usual script a doctor will give you. The prescription is called Anti-Vert.

I second meclazine as a remedy. I've experienced vertigo as well, and consider it an indicator of dehydration.

I'm a bit weird maybe, but I get a real thrill when a YouTuber responds to a nice comment I made on one of their videos.

Completely ridiculous, but maybe I'm grasping at any good straw available.
