GRANGEVILLE -- Sean L. Anderson, of Riggins, convicted in April by an Idaho County jury of felony aggravated assault on a peace officer and the use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime, was sentenced this afternoon to 18 years in the state penitentiary.

Second District Judge Gregory FitzMaurice said Anderson’s explanation of the events last July 18 that led to a shootout with police officers near Ferdinand was “distorted,” and that despite Anderson’s continued denial, he intended to kill or at least harm the police officers who chased him after a failed traffic stop.
If I'm reading the results of my Google search correctly, Idaho is (perhaps unsurprisingly) one of just three states that basically don't give you time off for good behavior. That means that Anderson really is going to do 18 years.

I may be wrong here because apparently there are two parts for a sentence in Idaho: a determinate sentence that you will serve 100% of and potentially also an indeterminate sentence, during which you can apply for parole, which may be granted. So it's not clear from the news report whether the 18 years for Anderson is the total sentence, including some time that he'll be eligible for parole, or whether the 18 years is completely fixed.

In any case, good riddance.

With his attitude & sunny personality, I expect he'll be extremely popular with the other prisoners. Or, possibly, have an intimate encounter with a shiv before the year is out.

I wonder what Ammon Bundy thinks about this? This guy was one of the four that stood their ground out at Malheur after the leaders were arrested. Have any of the other fabulous four, aside from Shawn's wife, responded or commented?
There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality.

Networks overlap and as you may recall, Bushman works for Kathy Smith (he allocutes on YT) at Loving Liberty (hired Ammon just after fed cases), is CSPOA ops, and has Mack on his show regularly along with Bircher Newman.

The "Benson-Skousenite" movement dominates the JBS to this day, overlap with largely Texas evangelicals, seen through the Koch networks in both states.

https://thenewamerican.com/freedom-figh ... m-bushman/

The battle for the sacred cause of liberty is winnable, and there is more to be encouraged about today than at any time in decades, says syndicated radio host and longtime conservative leader Sam Bushman in this interview with The New American’s Senior Editor Alex Newman. The diabolical forces seeking to end freedom are going to lose, and despite the loss of liberties thus far, America is still a shinning city on a hill. We The People should not be underestimated, he said. With God’s help, freedom will be restored, Bushman said, noting that more people are engaged in the fight than ever.

Ammon had that little protest early on and complaining that the Sheriff would not provide info (to which Parker called him out as Ammon refused to meet with the Sheriff). After COVID hit, Ammon moved on to a better grift.

Sean was a tool for Ammo and nothing more. He was tossed aside when he was no longer any use.

Fuck sake. You would have thought after facing real death at Malheur he would have wised up a bit, and gone onto a more socially acceptable method of Self destruction, like maybe Crystal meth.

Aww... for what it's worth, Sean was always capable of providing a substantial degree of Pooty entertainment value. This sucks, his presence will be sorely missed.

No matter, I shall simply remember him in happier times...

Bryan Bowermaster just can’t deal with the fact that his cult leader was convicted by a jury.

Yeah Bryan, this certainly doesn’t make you look crazy at all.

They make medication for this.

It gets good at the 41:00 mark.

I’m almost willing to believe one of the three letter agencies fed this guy LSD or something so as to make Bundy and his elk look even more ridiculous than they are.

Poots love to play the "he's a veteran and took an oath" game to prove how they are uber-patriotic and can do no wrong. Benedict Arnold was a veteran and took an oath.

No. It's not.

Hopefully the journalists and 'experts' I forwarded the info will do a piece. I've heard from a couple.

Maybe we'll see something this next week.

Mesquite, Nevada. The result of an animal cruelty investigation against Ryan Bundy has gone to the Clark County District Attorney for review. An animal control officer was apparently in the front yard of the Bundy residence when the calf passed on July 2nd. On July 13th, Mesquite City Police Detective Ryan Hughes investigate the incident.

All living things suffer from environmental stress. It should not surprise that heat stress in livestock becomes more intense as the temperature rises.

Ryan Bundy mug shot
For decades Cliven Bundy and his sons, including Ryan, illegally grazed their livestock on public land leading to a dangerous standoff in 2014. When federal authorities attempted to remove his cows, Bundy and his sons organized armed militia members and intimidated the government into halting the operation. In January 2018, a federal judge dismissed all charges against Bundy and his sons related to the Bunkerville standoff.

Yachnin reported that the actual size of Bundy’s cattle operation remains unknown, adding that branding records show the sales of hundreds of cattle since 2018. According to Yachnin, those records show Bundy has auctioned off animals five times since the start of this year, with all of the cattle sold at the Cedar City, Utah-based Cedar Livestock Market.
