What kind of mega-jerk thinks that the best response when a cashier asks him to wear a mask he doesn't want to wear is to kill the cashier?

i was talking to a friend yesterday about the idiots refusing to wear masks on a plane once it's in the air and wondering WTF they THOUGHT would happen? Did they think they'd be the first one to triumph, a "hero," to their fellow assholes?

The thought of murdering a hardworking cashier bc she asked you to wear a mask seemed too crazy to even contemplate, until today.

I'm against the death penalty in general, but I kinda feel like if someone's response to being asked to wear a mask is to get a gun and kill the employee asking them to, they are pretty irredeemable. I hope they lock him up for a long, long time.

Here is a compilation of all the people who have been killed over mask policies. Sickening.

Not another shooting, but a reminder of a previous one.
Six years ago, an act of domestic terrorism & hate took the lives of nine Black worshippers at a Charleston church.

Today, we continue to grieve & remember.
Let's review everything that has changed to prevent such a thing from happening again.

Hurley, who was inside the nearby Army Navy Surplus store, heard the gunshots and ran outside where he then shot the attacker according to witnesses.
“Actually, there were two customers that ran out and John Hurley was just faster and made it. As some eyewitnesses say, he took down the shooter,” said manager Stephen Coh
Arvada shooter had written about anti-police sentiments

Another employee at the store who was inside at the time of the shooting posted a letter on the business’ Facebook page explaining what he witnessed.
“Upon hearing these shots, John and another unknown customer unrelated to John went out of the open door toward the square with clear intent to eliminate the threat,” the letter says.

Arvada Police Chief Link Strate also called Hurley a hero.
“His actions likely disrupted what could have been a larger loss of life,” Strate said.

Hurley always wanted to do the right thing according to his Doug Evans.
“We talked about scenarios such as the one that occurred here and he said multiple times, ‘I would be the person to help. I would never let anyone else get hurt,'” said Evans.
Hurley was one of three people killed, along with Officer Gordon Beesley and the shooting suspect.

A GoFundMe has been set up by Johnny Hurley’s family.

Another two reports of highway shootings this morning.

This is crazy. Someone doesn't like the way someone else changes lanes so they start shooting.

I suppose that dashboard holsters will become a popular option on new cars.

The man suspected of killing five people before turning the gun on himself in a mass shooting in England on Thursday night was an incel Trump supporter who posted about “devil worshipers” in government.

:snippity:

Before the shooting, Davison expressed his admiration for Donald Trump on Facebook and posted multiple self-pitying YouTube videos in which he identified himself as part of the incel community. On his Facebook page, Davison claimed to be from Arizona, but his distinctive accent is typical of people from the south-west of England.

In one post from 2018, Davison shared a Trump quote and, when his friends ridiculed him in the comments, the suspect hit back: “You may not agree with his political views (I do) but he is different from the scum like Hillary or the people running our country like the neo-con sellout that is [then-British Prime Minister] Theresa May.”

No excuse for having footage of the Christchurch massacre

Key points:
Justin Bassett pleaded guilty to possessing extremist material
He downloaded a video of the Christchurch massacre two weeks after the attack
Bassett has been fined $1,250 plus court fees

Justin Robert Bassett, 28, pleaded guilty to possessing extremist material in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

This is 100% exactly the scenario I argued with a guy a few years ago (probably on Above Top Secret, but who remembers these nuts for that long).

He was arguing the 'a good guy with a gun' idiocy saying they could suppress the bad guys until the Cops arrive. I said the first thing the cops are going to do is to take out any shooters they see, and they aren't gonna stop to ask them if they are white hat or black hat. Blah, blah, blah.

This sickens me every which way you look at it.

Yeah..

I had the same sort of "discussion" back in the alt.conspiracy days.

You (C) see A and B trading shots...
Who do you shoot and why?
D starts shooting at you, do you return fire?

How as C do you know if A,B &/or D is not a plain clothes officer...
especially as anyone can yell "Police"

It is a hero fantasy, played out with real weapons and real lives that likely will not end well.
