:snippity:
A contract with Fox would be unlikely unless President Donald Trump asks Rupert Murdoch, the media mogul who owns Fox’s parent company News Corp., one source told POLITICO. :snippity:
It's been reported today that Murchoch was meeting with Grassley today. Hmmmm.

If I find the link on that bit, I'll post it here.

Shaub Retweeted Citizens for Ethics

Dear reporters: A criminal conflict of interest law imputes to Zinke all financial interests of a prospective employer with which he is negotiating for employment. 18 USC § 208. And the STOCK Act requires him to file written notice of any employment negotiations. 5 CFR § 2635.607

Public records also show that Ryan Zinke took 66 “personal days” between March 2017 and August 2018, excluding weekends and federal holidays. That total exceeds the 39 annual days off federal senior executives would be given during that same period.

66 days off -I can almost (but not) feel better about Zinke. That’s 66 days of potential nonfuckery.

I suspect he was using some of them to meet with industry people in his bid for personal wealth and influence and to figure out who to sell off our lands to.

I was trying hard to avoid that thought, but I know you are right.

Sadly, they still support Trump.

A lot of the horse people thought he would protect wild horses. Really?

There are some associations that post often about protecting public lands and who criticize Zinke frequently. I'm thinking they don't support him so much anymore.

I've noticed that on a few horse pages I follow. I really don't get the level of denial in this country anymore.

Isn't Grijalva the Ranking Member of House Natural Resources? Going after him would seem to be an unusually bold move for the Secretary of the Interior, particularly if he stays with that committee as the Chair in the next Congress.

I suspect Zinke will be resigning before the new Congress is sworn in anyway. This reinforces that suspicion.

So, you're saying ZINKE was the alcoholic asshole.

Ryan Zinke to resign as interior secretary, Trump says; Zinke had faced allegations of misconduct involving a land development deal
The president said in a tweet Saturday that Zinke would leave the administration at the end of the year.

Zinke’s personal conduct and management decisions have spurred at least 15 investigations, several of which have been closed.

The most serious one, which the Interior Department’s acting inspector general referred to the Justice Department, focuses on whether the secretary used his office for personal gain in connection with a land deal he forged in Whitefish, Mont., with Halliburton Chairman David Lesar and other investors.

This is a developing story. It will be updated.

Cross posting:

This avoids Zinke being hauled to the Hill and facing aggressive questions from House Dems - namely Raul Grijalva
