I agree it is going much better now. But I stand by my posting - Joe Biden did not have a good start. That is all I said. He did not have a good start. And I hoped he would hit his stride. And he has. Not maybe the most smooth, but Biden isn't known for being a great debater. But yes, it's going much better. Trump started out at least sounding fairly clear, but has devolved into whining and blaming and lying. And Biden has hit his stride pretty well.

Trump is just lying when he says Biden would get rid of private health insurance for 180 million. Biden has vocally rejected a Sanders-style “Medicare for All” that’d eliminate most private plans. He wants to let people enter a Medicare-like “public option” if they choose.

Now, there are legitimate questions about how a robust public option would affect the availability of private plans over time. (https://nytimes.com/2019/12/03/upshot/p ... r-all.html ) But Biden is not proposing to get rid of all private plans as Trump keeps saying or suggesting.

Two fact checks: The importer pays the tariffs, not the Chinese government, those tariffs are passed to the U.S. consumer.

Mueller never obtained Trump's taxes his own people have said so.

Individual-1 no longer bothers me. He jumped the shark many months ago. Now, when he speaks, he just turns more people off.

OK stopping watching. They promised to cut the bastards mike, they are not doing it, and he has realised it. So he is screaming back to form. Shouting in the last word every time.

What is it about you yanks that you cant actually stick to what you promise, especially with this guy? Yeesh.

As SLQ says it will rebound on him, but its just infuriating the sheer cowardice on display.

I tried. I really tried. I’ve been turning the debate on and off from almost the beginning, but my blood pressure is rising every time IMPOTUS speaks or smirks (or plays his accordion). Joe is very calming but I’ll have to wait for some recaps once it’s over. I envy those who can watch it without anxiety, but I can’t do this any more.

Welker is doing a great job.

The way I understand it the cutting of the mics was only for the 2 minute intervals for the initial answer and response to a question. But, during the "discussion" period they are not cutting the mics.

I was just yelling, "No one cares who built the fucking cages! You didn't have to use them!" at my computer.

His answer about Catch and Release people showing up for court is unbelievable. He called them low IQ. :brickwallsmall: :brickwallsmall:

I hope that answer really comes back to hurt him. “You’re all either rapists and murderers who don’t show up or you’re low IQ.”

Joe really needs to come back with "Well, what have you done about it, Mr President?" every time Trump says you had 8 years to do it.
