Re: It sucks growing old

Does anyone have any experience with those "I fell and I can't get up" alarms? I have a family member who may need one. Looking for something that is (1) waterproof [most falls happen in the shower], (2) comfortable enough to sleep in [in case they fall when getting up in the middle of the...

Re: Marjorie Taylor Greene [R - Deliverance Country]

A state court can't declare a federal law unconstitutional. If a case is within the state court's jurisdiction, and it involves a federal statute, the state court can hold the statute unconstitutional. The case here involves eligibility for a federal office, does that complicate matters? I don't th...

Of course, he already filed for an appeal. I can't imagine that will go anywhere.
If I'm remembering correctly from my pre-retirement days, neither an order transferring venue nor an order denying a motion to remand is an appealable order.

I am beginning to believe that he truly believes the shit he is smoking/saying. He obviously doesn't realize that this allows Clinton, et al, as part of their defense of this POS (assuming it is not dismissed early) to do incredibly thorough and extensive discovery. No way this will ever come withi...

Re: USA vs. GUY WESLEY REFFITT

The Texas man now faces up to 60 years in prison. Not realistically. The "60 years" claim-- typical of poor reporting in criminal cases-- assumes the maximum sentence on every count, all served consecutively. The Federal Sentencing Guidelines will yield a much shorter than 60-year sentenc...

I used to go on Twitter to read Mike Dunford's tweets, but it stopped letting me in unless I joined. So I'm now @ESilverman80.

This writer doesn't understand the difference between revenue and share value but it's still a disaster.

Revenue is how much cash they take in. Market value is current stock market price for a share multiplied by the number of shares issued.

I have seen a couple of poots on line drinking this stuff. Might be a fine Rye but that is not why they are buying it and posting about it. AFAIK the whiskey company has nothing to do with Kyle. It's a very good rye, and especially for the price. I just finished my bottle of it yesterday. Sorry it ...

Happy New Year, everyone! Wishing health for us all, and an end to this accursed pandemic. My wife and I stayed in last night-- even before Covid, we never thought New Year's Eve was a good night to be on the roads. So I roasted a duck, she opened one of her prized bottles of pinot noir, we watched ...
