The 4th edition of Black's LD (1951) was the last one to carry a definition of "driver" that had appeared in the first edition (1891), and before that in pre-Civil War dictionaries, that the driver was "employed". RWNJs used this to mean that "employed" meant paid with ...

Hunter Biden - But His Emails! Hacking, Election Interference, Russian Ops - Jack Maxey

At some point 51 intelligence officers were of the opinion that the laptop was a Russian fake made to look like it had H.B.'s emails. I don't know the details but the story that the laptop has already been examined by 51 presumed experts seems very persuasive to me.

Marjorie Taylor Greene [R - Deliverance Country]

Q because I am too not interested to google. What level of education did MTG achieve? from the Wikepedia article on MTG: Greene was born in Milledgeville, Georgia, on May 27, 1974, the daughter of Robert Taylor. She graduated from South Forsyth High School in Cumming, Georgia in 1992, and the Unive...

Post Roe Abortion Problems

I think it's worth keeping in mind that, since 1973 when abortion became legal, the medical technology of abortion has made quantum leaps. In the bad old days, the medical procedure had hardly changed from the beginning of the century and was an ugly and cumbersome procedure even in hospitals. Since...

Put Your Commodore 64 on The IntarWebs?

God, how I miss my C-64! I could write and amend programs on it. I had two excellent word processing programs (limit 7 pages but these could be chained), and a couple of games I liked. I bought up all the C-64 publications I could ... and I was mentioned in a couple of books! But in 1999 I needed in...

If NYC, Martha's Vineyard, and/or DC started arresting the bus drivers and airplane pilots on suspicion of kidnapping or illegal transport of undocumented aliens or some similar charge, I bet the bus and airplane migrations would stop cold.

Ummm, a knighthood is a title of commonality, not of nobility, and plenty of US citizens, including public servants, have been knighted (a special category of knighthood for non-UK). But I never heard of a secret knighthood; the whole purpose is a public honor.

You would not need a passport to go on these abortion cruises since you never enter a foreign country (it's the foreign country that would require a passport from you). Imagine, a boat takes you to the ocean liner where the abortion is performed, you get to stay on the ocean liner one or two days (f...

Is that all there is? -- A tax dispute and possibly buying a gun?? Geez, I had heard lurid horror stories about Hunter Biden -- one reichtwing paperback is titled "The Laptop from Hell" -- and he's guilty of only this. And does any of this reflect on his father? His father didn't even repl...

I would like to point out that school shooting situations are a minority of mass shooting events. Most mass shooting events take place elsewhere than in a school, notwithstanding the body count in school shootings is impressive. But building schools as if they were bank vaults or maximum security pr...

That kid was carrying enough firepower to blast away the lock and blow the door off its hinges. And the previous week the big mass shooting was at a grocery store, and other mass shootings were at churches and nightclubs -- what sort of locked doors were they supposed to have? Eliminating assault ri...

I'm not sure about absent fathers but other countries, such as Canada, England, Australia, also have declining church attendance, social media, and video games, yet they don't have mass shootings. Maybe Cruz could ask those other countries what their secret is, if he can learn their language to ask.

Cruz makes a big deal of the fact that a back door to the school was unlocked, but if it had been locked that AR-15 would have blown the lock off.

Re: Crypto - Bitcoin XRP ETH DarkMoon NFTs

The recent IRS regulations that cryptocurrency has to be reported on tax returns in the same manner as stock investments probably took a lot of wind out of the crypto's usefulness for money laundering and asset-hiding, hence the rapid fall in value.

I think it gets more severe in old age because there aren't any older relatives around to remind the patient of good times; the patient is left with only negative memories in the absence of someone reminding them of uplifting memories.

I doubt the story of this "draft opinion". The Supreme Court is Extremely secretive about its decision-making and heads would roll if a breath of an upcoming decision were leaked.
