Re: Let's Have a Virtual Meetup!

I haven't used Zoom, but I'm sure I can figure it out. I've used Google Hangouts for meeting and interviews before, and now we use WebEx for everything. Whatever the boogle chooses, I'll join in.

Re: Let's Have a Virtual Meetup!

Y'all might have to look at my cat sleeping if I join in. There is very little I dislike more than having photos taken or being on camera. I would think that there's some way to use a photo or an avatar or some other option for those of us who are camera shy. Worst case just put a piece of tape ove...

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

A question. While inventorying my toilet paper supply I found a full bottle of rubbing alcohol under my sink in the master bath. There was an expiration date on the bottle - November 2016. What expired? It still seems potent. That is a debate that I have with my spouse all the time. IDK the answer ...

Re: Social or International effects of COVID-19

In this case, she's renting a room from the woman in her house. The woman said she'd change the locks, and unfortunately I don't think the sheriff would be able to do anything about it. When Jones tried to push back, the landlord threatened to change the locks and hold her belongings hostage. “Items...

Gorski makes the case that the Chloroquine study that Trump hyped wasn’t poorly conducted but rather looks like fraud:

Didier Raoult looks like Harold Bornstein's son. That's eerie!

Re: Coronavirus and the election

I'd pitch in on a gofundme for that ad to run in all 50 states. That ad is going around the Twitterverse like mad. Gee, it's almost as if the OSG's efforts to keep the ad away from the people has resulted in drawing more attention to the ad than if they'd done nothing. Of course, being that the OSG...

The transit system in my city is still running, but the fares have been waived at this time. You have to get on the bus through the rear door and the seats at the front of the bus are closed off. There are hardly any passengers as everyone is taking this social distancing and staying at home seriou...

A cease & desist letter from ShitGibbon’s campaign The letter ( not [/u] from Charles Harder) whines that the ad is false and misleading. (False and misleading campaign ads??!? YOU DON'T SAY.) And vaguely warns that if the ad doesn't cease ( and desist), then the campaign will pursue legal remedies...

Oh, and the whole "shitting on each other" thing - the idea I responded to is advocating for shitting on a lot of people, including many who can't stand up for themselves. And not shitting on them with words online - shitting on them for real by causing them real and unnecessary medical harm throug...

Unless, of course, Vladimir Putin and his buddies bail Trump out. They will. Putin is believed to be worth (or at least have de facto control of funds) in the neighborhood of $500 billion. That's probably true. But the old adage, "Follow the money" hopefully means it's going to be a lot harder for ...
