Re: Coronavirus: Violent Extremism / Reopeners

This is a statement by Kentucky Governor Bashear regarding the protests last Sunday (copied from a Facebook post): From Ky. Gov. Andy Beshear Important: "We had a Memorial Day weekend where most everybody out there was trying to do the right thing. Knowing that there was a virus. Knowing that their ...

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

I got a call today from my stylist, who told me she was ready to reopen and asked if I wanted haircut. Yes, please. Earliest available is June 19. :( She also emailed me a list of things she had to do - sterilized everything, reduced chairs to 6 with plexiglass between each one, customers wait in c...

Re: "AKA Jane Roe"

I just finished it. What a sad person. I guess she did the best she could, but she could have used a real friend.

I was glad that they got that 2nd minister (Rob Schenck?) to talk; he definitely impressed me with his frankness.

Re: Coronavirus: Outbreaks at Sea

My nephew is on a ship in the Pacific. They have extended his deployment a couple months because they don't want any of the sailors coming on/off the ship. His poor wife (4 kids, all under 10) is about to go crazy.

I'm enjoying Schitt's Creek, a gentle comedy. Daniel Levy is a genius.
Love the series; the characters continue to surprise me.

Are you watching on Netflix? Do they have the 6th season up yet?

The pairs are my least favorite of the 4 main skating disciplines, but that program by James and Cipres was gorgeous. They were the favorites for the 2019 world championships, but during the warmups for the short program, Vanessa James collided with a male skater. She wasn't injured but it shook her...

Re: Bernie Sanders 2020

:yeah: I have no problem with his policies, as a matter of fact I support most of them. But I can't stand Sanders as a person. He is a toxic divider and has many of the same personality flaws as the current occupant of the White House. He has all the qualities of a cult leader, has done nothing to ...

I never met him but know several who had; he often went to cowboy fan meet-ups. I've heard he had a great sense of humor and was always gracious to fans.

Re: Corona Virus Whackadoodles, Whackjobs and Conspiracy Theories (other than from the White House)

In a comment to one of the "biznews.org" stories (where the Pat Robertson and Michelle Bachman stories were), the commenter said it's a satire site. I don't see anything on the site confirming it, but it is the "BS news".

Re: Non-Famous People who died from COVID-19

I don't have a link - this was mentioned in the comment thread on another site, and I can't remember where. But someone said their friend had lost both his mother and stepfather, and both had died alone because they had been put in isolation. I find it incredibly sad that people can't be with their ...

Yikes. This from someone I know personally. Screenshot_20200317-185732-122.jpg Wait. In response to the bars being closed? That seems extreme. She's a bartender. That's how she pays the rent. From my niece, who works for Sazerac and promotes their (liquor) products: If you are a bartender, bar back...

I was going to my first hockey game on Saturday. Oh, well... I spoke to my mom (89) about letting me go to the grocery for her. She said she would let me take her and let me do all the "touching" and pushing the cart, but she still wants to go. But she told me "I'm not going to Walmart until this al...

Re: USA v Roger J. Stone, Jr., USDC-DC, Obstruction, False Statements, Witness Tampering

Neither Roger Stone's lawyers nor his "jury consultant" bothered to look at the prospective jurors' social media. Malpractice. Even little ole me, I check out the prospective jurors' social media and everything else I can find out about them in my cases during the lunch break. I do that instead of ...
