  Lawfolk: I'm sure it's complicated :-D but is there a general rule or guideline about when somebody other than the person being deposed can attend or send an attorney to a deposition? Do parties in the action of which the deposition is a part have a general right to attend or ...

Re: Laura Loomer

There's something I've seen before: Technically Loomer is suing pro se, with Klayman "of counsel" (and PHV application "pending," natch.) It'll be interesting how this issue plays out. What is "of counsel?" I remember long ago seeing the term on an attorney's letterhead and wondering what it meant....

So...any warrants for the island property would come from this court? Presumably, but not necessarily. I think it would have to. But a prosecutor for the SDNY US Attorney's Office would put together the warrant application and have the VI US Attorney's Office present it to the local federal judge.

Maybe they couldn't get a search warrant until now?
The DOJ can get a search warrant in an hour. In a high profile case like this, in half an hour.

Might be a good opportunity to change doctors. I've had tinnitus in both ears for ages, but the last few years it's been much more noticable. Mine is a high pitched ringing whine and, luckily, there's harmony from left to right, though left is louder. I have no doubt mine was caused by rock 'n' rol...

Someone's going to need to help me with California law and spouses testifying against their spouse. Don't some jurisdictions require the spouse to agree to allow the other spouse to testify? This is a criminal trial in federal court, so federal law, not California state law, applies. Under Trammel ...

Re: Roy Moore - FORMER AL Supreme Court Chief Justice

I infer Klayman's next step is filing a losing appeal in the D.C. Cir. While stringing S.D.N.Y., a jurisdiction to which he is not admitted, along. An order transferring a case to another district is not a final order and hence not appealable. He will either file a Notice of Appeal anyway (and have...

A little background: in Israel, every party gets seats in the Knesset (Parliament) proportional to its share of the vote. So there are a multitude of parties, and every government in Israel's history has been a coalition. After the last election, it seemed like Netanyahu would have an easy time form...
