Re: Ronapalooza 2020

What are the odds Himself develops COVID-19 right before the election? My #1 hope is that Trump has to skip the first debate because he's lying in a hospital bed hooked up to a ventilator. And that he remains on that ventilator until the votes are counted in November. At which point he is informed ...

Last year, from Politico - Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe filed suit Thursday against the FBI and Justice Department, claiming that his March 2018 ouster — on the day he planned to retire after a 21-year career — was politically motivated retaliation driven by President Donald Trump, who w...

My take on Trump "paying respects" to Ginsburg - Trump is not winning women voters and he needs them. Women voters loved Ginsburg. So Trump figures he can look presidential and respectful to a leading women's figure by paying his respects to Ginsburg while wearing a mask. Like a lot of Trump's stunt...

Re: Coronavirus: Sick or Dead by Stoopid

I don't care one little bit about the belligerently stupid who get sick.

But I do care if they spread it around to innocent family members (children, older relatives, for example). And I care if they take up a hospital bed and put health care workers at risk.

Stupid, inconsiderate people.

Re: Presidential Debates 2020

I was reading some tweets earlier and one person commented that Biden did better on a second debate, that he had learned what worked and didn't work from the first interaction. I can see that happening. I can also see Trump being Trump and following his same tiresome script time after time. That sho...

Joni Ernst is Mitch's bitch. She's the Clarence Thomas of the Senate. Theresa's problem is she has a (D) after her name. This race is a virtual tie, but I don't have my hopes up. Last week Trump promised another $13 billion in aid to farmers in an effort to buy their votes. I'm sure that won't hurt...

Iowa most certainly is not flat. I know they altered the RAGBRAI route each year so that you went through different parts of the state each year. I lived in Independence (25 miles east of Waterloo) from 8th grade thru college. Great farm land, only mildly rolling. My sweetie was from NE Iowa, a sma...

A group of my family visited Norway in June of 1994. I remember window shopping at 10pm. I just checked - the earliest sunrise in Oslo is 3:53am, the latest sunset is 10:43pm, so almost 19 hours of sunlight. But I can see why my ancestors emigrated from Norway... in the winter the latest sunrise in ...

Trump is going all out - aid to Puerto Rico, the promise of vaccine for all by spring, $100 each to seniors, etc. He's using the U.S. government as his free source of bribes. I'm sure this is all just the beginning. Trump is desperate.
