Re: Coronavirus: Tracking & Testing

Surprise! The NYT has an article about the long term consequences of Covid-19! However, it doesn't include the harm done from asymptomatic infections. Patients fortunate enough to survive a lengthy hospitalization and weeks in an intensive care unit or on a ventilator face a long road to recovery. M...

A small Missouri city thought it had dodged the coronavirus. Now, it’s hitting home. :snippity: Missouri’s stay-at-home order is gone and unlikely to return . Tests are in short supply. The hospital is bumping against capacity as coronavirus cases pile up and doctors work their way through a backlo...

David Ige’s authority to impose a 14-day quarantine on passengers arriving in Hawaii in a move that protects his plan to reopen the state’s tourism industry with a number of safeguards designed to protect residents and travelers. Ruling in the state’s favor,...

Current case numbers show dramatic increases in teens/young adults, but there is little information on long term health impacts of the infections. As the Chinese study recently documented the lung damage of asymptomatic people, the virus can cause permanent harm to all organs. It can't be diagnosed ...

I played dumb and asked what antifa stood for, and she said “anti-fascist.” “So you’re for fascism?” There a...

Two more cases here, an adult and a child. They are not connected to each other or to the 3 family clusters. So now 20 cases in 16 days. Previously, from March to June 18th we had only 21 cases. I spoke with an attorney last week who is involved with planning the reopening of schools in mid-August. ...

Snopes says this statement is true. "In addition to putting the natives to work as slaves in his gold mines, Columbus also sold sex slaves to his men — some as young as 9. Columbus and his men also raided villages for sex and sport. In the year 1500, Columbus wrote: “A hundred castellanoes are as ea...

I hoped it would be positive because I could donate blood and be informed about possible treatment of the lingering problems I have. I received a letter from her today, reminding me that the t...
