Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

About two weeks ago we had to go to the UPS Store to return two orders to Amazon for refund. Everyone was wearing a mask. Thank goodness. Fortunately we got there when there was only one other customer in the store. As we were leaving about 5 more showed up. TL:DR , we are pretty good about wearing ...

Mags, you have the dreaded 19? :bighug: Sorry t0 miss tonight. Me and my hunny were celebrating. Oh, no. I don't have it. I really did word that poorly. I've just been sleeping odd times since we've been stuck inside with seemingly no end in sight. I used to be a champion sleeper, but now it seems ...

And, of course, we have the illustrious Senator Toomey. I need to write him a letter and ask if he's merely deeply stupid or a homicidal sociopath.

Re: Coronavirus: Look to the governors

I'm surprised that it's only +6 for Governor Wolf. I know I live in a Democratic area, but I haven't heard a huge amount of grumbling about wearing a mask and all the rest of it. And the governor said today that he expects that the masks will be required--whenever you leave your house and in any bu...

Apparently my new Covid-19 sleeping times are anytime from 7 to 11 AM and 12 hours later. That's when I might fall asleep and sleep for more than 90 minutes. I'm going to try for next time.

Edited to say: because I miss you folks. :crying:

Poor Governor Wolf. In two years when his term is done I'm sure he'll be thrilled to go back to managing his cabinet-making company.

Re: Coronavirus: Look to the governors

The chickens are coming home to roost for all of these trump-loving republican governors. Science will win out in the end. What if the sides were swapped, the governor were Republican and the legislative of Democrats were to end a Republican decree not to their liking? What side ought th...

The question is do they have the votes to override the Governor veto....
Nope. That's why they went whining to the PA Supreme Court. They also don't have the votes to impeach him. They're just playing to the cheap seats with that.

Re: Ronapalooza 2020

I seriously wonder how many Trump fans stayed away because of the virus. They may talk big about not wearing masks, but his fan base skews older and they are more vulnerable. They are not all stupid when it comes to this virus. I feel like some self-preservation instincts must have kicked in with a...

Re: Ronapalooza 2020

@reedgalen This is a disaster for @teamtrump and they’ll have a lot to answer for. If they can’t even fill a 19,000 seat arena with 1,000,000 tickets given out, they have major issues: 1) their data is bad 2) their enthusiasm is non-existent 3) they totally misread the desire to see DJT. I think a ...

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

I think you should just be alert, but not scared. Get outside a bit (it's good for you!). Don't feel you have to be a shut-in waiting on a vaccine. A majority of us are going to contract this virus over time.. it's a given. The steps we are taking are to slow it down, not kill it. Here, you can hav...

Re: Coronavirus: Look to the governors

Our governor, Tom Wolf, is trying to do right. So, of course the Rethugs are trying to impeach him. Meanwhile they're getting Covid-19 and isolating from their families, but still coming to committee hearings at the Capitol. Because fuck everyone else I feel fine.

Re: On a Personal Level--Coronavirus COVID-19 Cancellations, etc.

I'm sad. I thought because our apartment complex pool was opening that meant we were going to green. Apparently there's some way that the pool can be open with restrictions as in no more than 20 people there at a time, no one allowed to be there more than 2 hours and with everyone social distancing....

I'd be happy if that woman president was Kamala Harris.
:yeah: I loved the way she kicked Bill Barr's ass during the hearing.
I didn't see that, but I've seen her kick other asses, so I like her.

I like it. I always did like my cousin Joe. Though I was actually for Warren. I'm a dreamer I'd like to see a woman president before I die.

Lots of Kabuki Theater in the legislature here. Time to go blue in the House and Senate.
I wish. But there has literally been a Rethug majority since the mid-90s. I think there was only one 2 year period under Rendell when there wasn't.

It looks like we might be going green sooner. My apartment complex just announced that the pool will be open Monday, June 22nd. BTW, Arthur, the pictures inside the colon are fairly non-dairy, just the light pink lining. I know because I saw the Man's last time. non-dairy, eh? Non-scary,...
