Mike Lindell's Election Shenanigans, FrankSpeech and #MyPillow #FAILS - 6/28/61 Cancer / Ox
Apparently, Lindell just dropped the suit against the DoJ for seizing his cell phone. It's not clear from the wording of the article whether he unilaterally dropped the suit or whether it was with the mutual agreement of the DOJ. He got nothing for all his trouble. https://www.rawstory.com/mike-lin...

Okay, fair enough. I guess I have a higher personal threshold on some things (I did grow up in the Midwest, where storms are common). However,: Portage was wiped out. This is devastating. Um.. no. Portage had a bunch of damage but not wiped out. I have seen recent tornado damage in OK, KS, MO, NE, a...

Donald J. Trump 2024
Here's the thing. 1. Trump's group might have asked and convinced them to move the time to earlier (or later was a one-off last year, I don't know). Most folks give deference to a former president. It is about the role, not the person. 2. The only source of truth is the school which has not posted a...

My home town was just hit by a tornado. Destroyed a building about a half-mile from where I grew up. The info is still spotty. A large FedEx Ground warehouse collapsed so there is a search there. It don't think it is anything like the OK ones. Some posters on X/Twitter say Portage was decimated but ...

Birding
Birds are so rude. They don't sit still long enough to for me to grab my camera and zoom in to get a good shot from a distance. There are times they do, but I also have ended up with lots of blurry shots of the tail feather tips. With migration season upon us, I heard a new bird song. The Merlin ap...

If Biden signs a bill forcing the TikTok sale, then Trump can't campaign on banning TikTok. That's election interference (in Trump's, um, mind).

I approve of the people singing loud, even if off key. It's a about singing the hymn together, not a musical performance.

We don't know our own ancient history, but we do know that for whatever reason, music is an important part of being human. When we finally reach the stars, if we ever do, our music will be something we can really be proud of. Except for the songs that result in an interstellar war in retaliation fo...

Also - cast iron - OMG - perfection (just be super careful setting it on the stove top). That's good to know if I ever thought about moving to induction (which would also require a move from being a renter). I like using cast iron on some things. After you mentioned that, I did some checking on wok...

My question is - Who was the first guy to blow through a hollow stick, make a sound, and amaze the shit out of everyone standing around? My vote would go towards some Australian about 40 or 50 thousand years ago. But I suppose a case could be made that it was an African before that. https://youtu.b...

Here is another one from the same group. It has a shawm, what I think is a buisine, and a percussionist with wood and bells. The buisine does not look much different from a Roman Tuba, which would make sense.

My question is - Who was the first guy to blow through a hollow stick, make a sound, and amaze the shit out of everyone standing around? We didn't cover that in my college music history classes. It's probably because nobody knows. Our knowledge of certain musical things way back in early early anti...

Talk about SCA!!! I loved the 'proto-trombone' - what's it actually called? And what are those reeded instruments? Surely not Oboes - (no valves, just finger holes) but maybe? I take it that thing on screen right is a drum? (JK) I think it's called a sackbut . The brass instrument is a slide trumpe...

I still can't see Avenatti's posts so, apparently. Elon's latest change has not reached me yet. I'm not sad.

If people want my opinion on the thing posted, honestly I have no idea about it. Anything I would say about what's going on would be a blind guess. So I would prefer not to say anything than blather bullshit. If its being done without talking to people about it, then that's not a good thing. What I...

I was thinking "I don't remember what this case claims to be about." On the basis that others might be thinking the same, here's a extracts from a reality-based Salt Lake Tribune piece quoted in an earlier post by Luke : The suit, which leans on baseless claims of fraud in the 2020 electi...

And don't forget the old box pews which you can still find in some of the churches on the East Coast. In days of old, these were rented by families. https://northendwaterfront.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Old-North-Church60-2010-10-23-at-03-28-56.jpg Various flavors of Easter Orthodox churches don...
