Orenthal James Simpson 1947 - 2024. Was he a murderer?

It dragged on a lot longer than it needed to. The DA put Fuhrman on the stand. And Ito did not exercise any control (I remember him saying something to the effect of, “Counsel, I’ve warned you eleven times about this already…” Prosecutors insisted he put the gloves on, etc. If the case had been bet...

That birth certificate appears, to me, to be a photocopy of a document bound in a book. You can see the curvature of the document at the left side. As for it not being printed on white paper, it looks like the certificate in the book is on white paper, and the size of the certificate does not fill ...

Yes, embossed seals are very hard to copy by design. I thought I remembered that the seal could be seen in the Savannah Guthrie cell phone photo of one of the certified copies. Indeed it can be. I played with the contrast to get it to show up better. https://rcradioblog.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/s...

Hey Ben Matlock served on a jury on one episode. He was the only vote for not guilty on the first vote. He of course convinced the other 11 to acquit on the show. Let's hope fiction does not become reality.

This doesn't even qualify as a dead cat bounce (re: after hours trading). I might try to buy some puts tomorrow if there is actually an uptick.

May 17-25 put options are going for 6.35 right now. Could spend a few bucks on some of those. If it drops to 20 you could probably clear an 80% to 100% profit by the end of the week. Making money on Trump losing money has a certain attraction too. I tried to buy some 20 strike May 17 puts...

:snippity: For fuck sake blood from both victims was found in the drain of his shower. And the testimony from the limousine driver alone was devastating. although those had nothing to do with Fuhrman, he did collect most of the other physical evidence. When called to the stand after the whistleblow...

Good. I was wondering about that.
I watched an interview with Carl Douglas today. He was asked about the Goldman's chances of collecting and said they were very small.

I thought he was a murderer and still do. I thought the prosecution and the police botched what should have been a conviction. One thing I do not understand is why the trial was moved to LA from Brentwood? Maybe Stern or someone who practices in CA could explain that. Judge Ito let the defense run a...

I was thinking that OJ was responsible for two events that those of us who were alive and of age will remember where we were and what we were doing when they occurred. The first is the low speed car chase. NBC actually broke into the NBA playoffs to provide coverage. I was with 11 other guys at a go...

I figured OJ's death deserved its own topic. What is his place in American culture and history? Did his trial damage race relations for years? How badly did the prosecutors blow the case or was it unwinnable from the start? Anything related is up for discussion.

Here's a useful information resource. NYS criminal cases are run on paper filings (plus email exchanges that, for the post part, only the court and parties get to see). So there's no internet access to the filings, and even if you have the time and resources to check the court files, you'll find th...

I missed the party on the discussion on slide rules and the first scientific calculators. I learned to use a slide rule in freshman engineering class.
