... I also thought Janelle Monae was good. As far as I know, this is the biggest movie role she has ever had and she killed it. I haven't seen the Glass Onion yet, but Janelle Monae's role in "Hidden Figures" was notable. One of my fave movies; I went to see it with a couple other female ...

Favorite Christmas Songs, Artists

I just saw a "CMT Crossroads" on the CMT channel. I like to watch these when I can catch them because they get two (or more) different acts to perform together. For example, last week they had Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. (I frickin' LOVE Alison Krauss!) Anyway, this was the Crossroads ...

Windows 11

I had to get a new laptop and of course it has Win11. The only thing I really wish they would "fix" (in my mind it's a fix, not a feature!) is the taskbar. For years and years I displayed my taskbar vertically on the left side of the screen, without grouping "like" tasks. You can...

Not a real problem, because there is a workaround... but in the "Quick Links" at the top of the forum page, there is a "Your Posts" hyperlink, but it takes you to a search result that only shows the topics list, not the posts. Workaround: if you go to the user profile page, you c...

Do you think she has RSV? I've been fighting it for a couple weeks and that's how I feel. I have had good luck with Tussin DM and using an Albuterol inhaler. Also I have a humidifier in the bedroom.

Weird Headlines

I have a friend who cut his hand off with a radial arm saw. He was home, alone, at his lake house. I'm sure he was in some kind of shock, but he made a tourniquet out of duct tape, put his hand in a bag of ice, and drove himself to the hospital. When he got there, they asked if he had the hand; he s...

Re: What are you watching?

I just watched "Elvis" (on HBO). Tom Hanks was fine, although his prosthetics were distracting. But Austin Butler as Elvis was wonderful.

I wasn't an Elvis fan, but the scenes about his early life were fascinating. I guess I didn't know much about Elvis except the tabloid stuff.

Re: Which Idiots Have Blocked You From Twitter & Self-Censored Themselves For You? ❄️

I don't "original tweet" much (I mostly just read and like tweets, and retweet). I'm always surprised when someone follows me. Off topic (sorta): How do you get a "black background" screen shot of a tweet? Is it an app, or is it a twitter setting? I see a lot of screen grabs of t...

I was in our plant in Argentina during the plant startup. During the plant construction and worker training, people from our existing plants - in South Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee - were down there for months. Most of the people at the plant spoke English, at least enough to get by. Whe...

Re: ▼▲ Formerly Fogbow - the old forum, reborn

And further puzzling... I usually use my Windows 8.1 laptop, not my Windows 10 laptop. So I started my Windows 10 laptop, loaded Firefox, and - voila - I could log into the old Fogbow on that laptop. So the only problem is with Windows 8.1 using Firefox. So it's not a problem with Foggy's database....

Re: King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla (Scorpio/Cancer) + Queen Elizabeth II

I may be misremembering, but I thought I read a few years ago that the Queen had given up all of her Corgis. Perhaps this story is from that time. Besides, that picture is a much younger version of Her Majesty. You're remembering right. She had given them up because she didn't want any surviving he...
