Re: Rest In Peace

The first Beverly Cleary book I read was Ellen Tebbits, probably in third grade. I loved it and went on to read more of her books that were available in the school library. I also bought a lot of her books for my two daughters when they were young and they loved the stories as well.

Re: have you received your vaccine yet?

I got my second Pfizer this afternoon. The nice man who gave it to me is a veterinarian with the USDA. He travels to zoos and other places during normal times. He said vaccinating people is a lot easier than bears. Also, my 30 y/o daughter in Denver was able to get an appointment for next Tuesday. S...

Two other family friends got on the show as well. One won a station wagon, but she had to sell it to help pay the income tax on it. Great story, poplove! I think many contestants don't realize until after they win that they owe income tax on the value of their prize(s). That's an accurate assessmen...

My mom was on Let's Make a Deal in the 60's. We lived several miles from the NBC studio in Burbank. My oldest brother went on to work there for 36 years as a tape editor. Anyway, Monty picked Mom and offered her a choice of what was in the box Jay Stewart had or what Carol Merrill would be wearing w...

The money should start hitting our checking accounts soon. In the last round, Trump signed the bill on 12/27/20 and the money was deposited in my account on 1/04/21. That's just eight days. I assume that the IRS kept all the programs they wrote and procedures that they devised after the first stimu...

Craptin Underpants tweeted this today. It's a screenshot of a tweet from cRyan's former campaign manager and nutjob Cardiff Gerhart, who recently ran for Nevada state assembly. No one pays attention to Cardiff. BTW, Wayne Allen Root has been suspended from Twitter. https://twitter.com/kkoenigs1776/s...

Two questions for those of you who have had the vaccine: Did you do the follow-up with the CDC? I signed up, was contacted through an app every day for the first week, now once a week. Did anybody else get a bull's eye band aid? It was put on before the injection, and then the pharmacist put the ne...

I got my first Pfizer shot yesterday. Ages 65+ started last week and I was able to get an appointment just 5 miles away at a high school gym in North Las Vegas. I've been following Joshy's adventures. He screwed up big time. James Springer (pretend name James Freeman) is an idiot - of course he and Gav are buddies. Here's link to Finicum v. United States of America (2:18-cv-00160) on Court Listener where a few of the docket entries are downloadable/viewable. The last four entries from Jan 29 to Feb 5 (169-172) are available for viewing. I have a barely used PACER account and the RECAP add-on automatically uplo...
