Re: Coronavirus on a Personal Basis

TRL, it is hard to lose a loved one but knowing you cared for her in the ways she wished should give you some peace. Caregiving, especially at the end of life is very hard. On another subject: MIL's hospice nurse said healthcare workers are getting a respiratory ailment from wearing masks. More Covi...

Re: The Media are the Goddam Problem

I did a Google search for highest current gas prices before posting. Google lied.

Also, diesel doesn't count and they were showing multiple photos of gas station posted prices making it look like those were the current prices all over.

Re: The Media are the Goddam Problem

Got pissed off first thing this morning. Watching @GMA Good Morning America: Weekend Edition. At the 12 min mark they start showing posted gas station prices of $6 to over $7 per gallon! Nowhere in the US is it over $6! This is gaslighting of the American people. The media MUST be called on these LI...

Re: Coronavirus on a Personal Basis

Gorgeous gown, gorgeous girl!

We do ECMO in the NICU. Basically a heart-lung machine. Takes at least 1 nurse for the patient and 1 nurse for the machine alone.

If you need ECMO it is your last chance at life.

Sorry LMK.

Re: Cats!

I'm guessing it might be related to this? https://smallbiztrends.com/2021/08/chicken-shortage-update-august-31.html I think you're right. Son says there used to be cases and cases of chicken at the grocery stores, mostly Foster Farms but now there are mostly boutique brands and very little variety....

I really appreciate that you give a little synopsis of the tweets, Kendra. Re: Coronavirus on a Personal Basis

Imma going to travel late this month -- but not on a plane. I'm in the process of selling a property and I will use a portion of those funds to purchase a lightly-used vehicle so I can drive.. I have an ailing elder relative up north and then I have to go to California. I will spend all that to not...

Re: Coronavirus on a Personal Basis

I have been spending a lot of time in waiting rooms lately. Up until my Lexiscan, they have all been large with just a few patients and 1/2 of the seating marked off for social distancing. Masks are required and everyone is temp screened on arrival. The nuclear med waiting room was about 10-12' squa...

Jeeze, I haven't been online for a few days. So glad Kate is OK, but how scary! My condolences to filly and family. My friend and fostering mentor who is an anti-vaxxer (not just people, animals too) knows I am immunocompromised. This is is the email she sent me last week: I'm falling apart. I may h...

Re: Cats!

I was able to get chicken pate from Purina One brand and she tolerates that as a replacement pretty well. I finally got some of that but Odie says "Nope!" Fortunately the other 2 will eat it. Sure was expensive, though. I have been checking Amazon, Chewy, Petsmart, Petco and Walmart at le...

My good friend's brother just died from covid. Do you know if masks were required in the doctor's office, or if patients were questioned...
