Thoughts and Prayers from Southern Arizona?
I suspect NOT.

If they tell you I fell off the bed and hung myself, I didn't.

This is far beyond the basketball court, or opinions about broadcasting styles.
Mr. Vitale is a national treasure for the amount of effort he puts into making things easier for kids with cancer.

Aw crap. His broadcasting style always gives me a chuckle. The big C just claimed another great voice, Ray Fosse, which I mentioned elsewhere. I might start prepping bags of freeze-dried enthusiasm as soon it may be in short supply. Get Bill Walton on line one.
Don't know nothing about the beef with Southern Arizona.
To date, Vitale has raised $37 million for the pediatric cancer fund in his name at the V Foundation.
It wasn't mentioned in the article, but the V Foundation is named after Jimmy Valvano, not Dicky Vitale, who championed it from day one. When they launched it on ESPN, they stole one of my songs. Which triggered a big legal dispute. Which I settled out of court. It meant something to me at the time. It was a pretty good song. Here's to good times.
