Kapn back to drunk tweeting - that isn't the story. The story is he hasn't done this for a few days. Welcome back Drunk Karl!

It's a quality custom conversion done by fairly high-end coachworks, these are purpose-built vehicles that can easily run $70-100k depending on options and what model of base vehicle you start with. Of course, they're usually bought by people that actually have a use for them, (ie commuting 300 miles and living in them for weeks at a time servicing somethingorother in the Outback), not as daily drivers for self-appointed commanders of imaginary forces.

Doesn't he also haul some big boxy trailer with it? The thing that had all the diapers for an ungrateful Florida? (Allegedly.)

This is the first view of it I've had where it looks lived in. Quite an eyesore.

And looks like something modern Beverly Hillbillies would drive, with KK in the role of Granny, driving fueled on 'shine (Jeb's not manic enough to be KK).

He could've bought a Winnebago travel van with 4WD and his choice of four interior plans. But of course a Winnebago wouldn't be conspicuous, and Karl's all about getting attention.

Karl: with your driving record, driving a conspicuous vehicle is not at all smart idea. You want to fly under the radar, not parade around in a cop magnet.

What do you suppose his insurance premiums are like - if, indeed, he has any insurance? :daydream:

I think it's likely he at least has liability insurance -- as I remember it, none of his Wisconsin CCAP entries shows that he's ever been dinged for not having proof of insurance when he's been pulled over.

If that monstrosity is registered in Nevada, however, Karl would have had to show proof of insurance. Wisconsin, oddly, does not require proof of insurance when you buy or register a vehicle. You're required to carry $25k in liability insurance in Wisconsin, however. I wonder how many lowlifes drive around in Wisconsin with no insurance at all, since you don't need proof when registering a vehicle. But FREEDUM, right?

I don't think he took the trailer to NV - probably left it in WI.

Yet you are required to carry valid proof of an active liability insurance policy. Failure to do this is only a $10 ticket, though.

I've been cited for this, twice, due to my sloppy habit of leaving the current insurance card in a pile of random documents on my desk at home. (I think the lower layers are turning into compost...)
