OK, I just put myself through 1 1/2 hours of Fox so you don't have do. Lots of Biden/Saudi/Inflation talk. Hunter Biden laptop scandal. BORDER! BORDER! BORDER! Even had a reporter at the place where they're all crossing the river right now, and for some dumb reason had to point out that he spoke with some of them and how CLEAN they were, fresh dresses and makeup on the women, almost like...they were driven there and dropped off for escort across the river vs. all those miles trekking through the desert. Just his $.02 opinion he added as a quiet afterward like the small print in a contract.
No mention that I heard of report out of Uvalde, which doesn't surprise me because Fox was all over the airwaves right after the shooting praising the police and gosh, how many lives did they save for their quick actions. No mention of Bannon, J6 and secret service.

Far-Right Channel One America News Officially Dropped by Last Major TV Carrier

So sad...MAGA cable channel One America News has been on life support since satellite provider DirecTV dropped the far-right conspiratorial network from its lineup this spring. It now looks like it may be DOA. Verizon Fios, currently the largest pay-TV platform still carrying OAN, announced on Thursday afternoon that it had been unable to come to terms with the network’s owners on a new agreement and would no longer carry the channel after this month.
Meanwhile, even as the network has lobbed attacks at Verizon as their deal was about to expire, CEO Robert Herring Sr. has begged other cable companies to pick up the struggling channel. He even went so far as to peddle far-fetched rumors that Elon Musk was going to buy the network (something Musk quickly shot down.) The network’s hosts have also urged viewers to dig up dirt on executives of companies that had dropped OAN, not exactly helping Herring’s cause to attract new customers.

Laura Ingraham’s impression of Kamala Harris probably wasn’t one of her best ideas. Not that she has had many.

Even Fox News themselves realizes that they are full of crap and use air quotes. Too bad it is lost on their viewers.

Hunter Biden under fire for failing to register as a foreign agent
25 Jul 2022
Fox News contributor Miranda Devine dissects accusations that Hunter Biden failed to register as a foreign agent during his tenure lobbying overseas. #FOXBusiness
I think they screw up inasmuch as registration is required for lobbying within the US at a state or federal government on behalf of a foreign nation. Nothing how to behave outside of the US.
Re: Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, and other TV purveyors of fake news
So I watched half way through it. and the "enormous scandal" (they kept repeating that word) is that "whistleblowers" have come forward that say the FBI looked at the laptop, and labeled it Misinformation.

It took CNN long enough to dump him. I get that they want opinions from the R party to participate in talks, but he was just to offensive for my tastes.
Did Fox ever pick him up, or was he too vile even for their standards?

CNN keeps having Mick Mulvaney on. He's as bad if not worse than Santorum.
Re: Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, and other TV purveyors of fake news
Here is an oldie, but goodie article about the techniques Fox uses to brainwash their viewers. The top technique, panic mongering, is key because it puts the viewer into a psychological state of "fight or flight", which turns off the rational brain. Neat trick.
https://truthout.org/articles/fourteen- ... americans/
https://truthout.org/articles/fourteen- ... americans/
1. Panic Mongering. This goes one step beyond simple fear mongering. With panic mongering, there is never a break from the fear. The idea is to terrify and terrorize the audience during every waking moment. From Muslims to swine flu to recession to homosexuals to immigrants to the rapture itself, the belief over at Fox seems to be that if your fight-or-flight reflexes aren’t activated, you aren’t alive. This of course raises the question: why terrorize your own audience? Because it is the fastest way to bypasses the rational brain. In other words, when people are afraid, they don’t think rationally. And when they can’t think rationally, they’ll believe anything.
2. Character Assassination/Ad Hominem. Fox does not like to waste time debating the idea. Instead, they prefer a quicker route to dispensing with their opponents: go after the person’s credibility, motives, intelligence, character, or, if necessary, sanity. No category of character assassination is off the table and no offense is beneath them. Fox and like-minded media figures also use ad hominem attacks not just against individuals, but entire categories of people in an effort to discredit the ideas of every person who is seen to fall into that category, e.g. “liberals,” “hippies,” “progressives” etc. This form of argument – if it can be called that – leaves no room for genuine debate over ideas, so by definition, it is undemocratic. Not to mention just plain crass.
...
(and here is one that is particularly interesting, considering Jan 6th)
6. Conflating Violence With Power and Opposition to Violence With Weakness. This is more of what I’d call a “meta-frame” (a deeply held belief) than a media technique, but it is manifested in the ways news is reported constantly. For example, terms like “show of strength” are often used to describe acts of repression, such as those by the Iranian regime against the protesters in the summer of 2009. There are several concerning consequences of this form of conflation. First, it has the potential to make people feel falsely emboldened by shows of force – it can turn wars into sporting events. Secondly, especially in the context of American politics, displays of violence – whether manifested in war or debates about the Second Amendment – are seen as noble and (in an especially surreal irony) moral. Violence become synonymous with power, patriotism and piety.
...
11. Saturation. There are three components to effective saturation: being repetitive, being ubiquitous and being consistent. The message must be repeated cover and over, it must be everywhere and it must be shared across commentators: e.g. “Saddam has WMD.” Veracity and hard data have no relationship to the efficacy of saturation. There is a psychological effect of being exposed to the same message over and over, regardless of whether it’s true or if it even makes sense, e.g., “Barack Obama wasn’t born in the United States.” If something is said enough times, by enough people, many will come to accept it as truth. Another example is Fox’s own slogan of “Fair and Balanced.”

Re: Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, and other TV purveyors of fake news
Ah yes, the classic "how dare you call my client 'a Liar' when he is actually 'a Moron'" suit.
Honestly, this seems to be pretty much a SLAPP suit, just designed to get CNN to shut up.

I read all the way to the top of page 3 before they cited the Washington Examiner, who upon following the citation, was citing Project Veritas.

To be fair: It is only 26 pages; the rest is the 'zibits.
Signed by James Trusty (who ought to know better).
A Twitter user speculated that Trusty is on retainer for Real Law stuff, and this was just a funsy letter meant for an audience of one.
And, to be even more fair, CNN's general counsel is David Vigilante.

It is very SLAPPy, and I very much doubt it'll shut anyone up.
