NEW: CDC Dir. Walensky extends the eviction moratorium until June 30.

"Keeping people in their homes and out of crowded or congregate settings—like homeless shelters—by preventing evictions is a key step in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19." https://abcn.ws/31r1kCj

This is a godsend for millions of Americans while CARES Act funds get distributed. One of the housing advocates (2,300 organizations lobbied the Biden Administration for the extensions), Diane Yentel, is on Twitter. Just learned that in South Florida, folks can call 211 to be connected with all kinds of help.

From Susan Rice, includes Fact Sheet of US Government activities and benefits:

Susan Rice @AmbRice46
@CDCgov has extended the federal eviction moratorium by 90 days, until June 30. Critical to public health, it will also allow tenants and landlords more time to access the $45 billion in rental assistance under the CARES Act and the American Rescue Plan.
