Ha. Yep. Linda Ronstadt and Emmy Lou Harris look nothing like my favorite album covers from the 70's. Totally wierd.

Re the Jesus thing: I have a vague recollection of reading that some non/anti-Christians named Jesus as Jesus ben Pantera, implying he was the natural son of a Roman soldier called Pantera (= tiger?). I have no idea whether they had any basis at all for that conjecture, I wasn't curious as it doesn't bother me one way or the other.

AH HA!! A quick search on the web and Wikipedia tells me stuff, with some decoration removed:
Tiberius Julius Abdes Pantera (c. 22 BC – AD 40) was a Roman-Phoenician soldier born in Sidon, whose tombstone was found in Bingerbrück, Germany, in 1859. A historical connection from this soldier to Jesus has long been hypothesized by numerous scholars, based on the claim of the ancient Greek philosopher Celsus, who, according to Christian writer Origen in his Against Celsus, was the author of a work entitled The True Word.

Celsus' work was lost but, in Origen's account of it, Jesus was depicted as the result of an affair between his mother Mary and a Roman soldier. He said she was "convicted of adultery and had a child by a certain soldier named Panthera".
So the cartoon is hardly original!

I’ve composed an original haiku to celebrate the stupidity of Trumpers.

Trumpers are so dumb
They will believe anything
Morans, one and all

So, for this Yurpean, can you or raison d.a. clarify further, please? I see it's Arbey's, I recognize the brand but know little more, so I'm missing context.

It's a nursery rhyme. Arby's is known for...roast beef.

Ok, thanks, I know the nursery rhyme (I remember it from being a child!) and I didn't know that Arby's is famous for today beef (I'm not USaian!).

So is that the entire joke? I was expecting something more intricate and political? Of course, this is the "jokes" thread – I probably left my brain in the "Political Toons" thread. :(

Apologies if I crashed the joke. My late ma used to do that.

I learned a different line in the children's poem,

This little piggy went to market
This little piggy stayed home.

Nothing about roast beef. I didn't get it, either.
The more I learn about this planet, the more improbable it all seems. :confuzzled:
