Is anyone besides me seeing "Not Secure and or http://www" rather than the secure https://www or lock indicator
in the address bar of their browser? In my case Safari Version 12.1 (14607.1.22).

Foggy doesn't have SSL here. He could have for no fuss and no $ if he put it behind Cloudflare's CDN. :-

I did have us behind CloudFlare many years ago, I can't remember what the problem was with it but I remember deciding not to use it. I'll look into it, maybe it can work for us now.

Remember the Let'sEncrypt organization that offers free certificates. There is a small twist for setting them up for automatic renewal every three months.

If it was a few years ago, it may be ok now. Just don't get crazy tinkering with the levers and knobs in the Cypoto settings beyond setting SSL to 'Flexible' which is most relaxed.

@Foggy - since a few releases back of phpBB any [ img ] within a quote reply will be rendered at small size.

Currently the [ imgwidth] within a quote will keep the size as the original poster defined it.

Question: can you ask the developers to also minimize imgwidth following the logic of the img tag?

R.

No, because imgwidth is a custom tag written by me. But I don't know how they do that. Let me look into it.

FWIW for a long while now, I have been using the [ imgwidth ] and putting 400 in the brackets. A few times I used 500. Not sure if it makes that much difference.

I have been posting images that way for so long, it took me awhile to remember what I used to use. It was the icon that looks like a picture of a mountain and sun.
this one [ img ] added a bunch of spaces in the brackets

TFB is secure enough, that's just Google and the Chrome browser fussing around cause Foggy does not use the "secure" aka encrypting HTMLS protocoll. But fairly secure cause he also uses a CDN provider that screens for bad guys. The sometimes tell me that I have to identify myself (captcha) cause they think I am a bad guy.

Google started the movement to go HTMLS with websites having certificates and most are following. Keeps the prying eyes of the NSA and other government agencies at bay.

Did some testing...

It works if the 'www' is left off.

https://www.thefogbow.com/forum/search. ... ve_topics gives ssl_error_unrecognized_name_alert error.

search.php?search_id=active_topics gives no error.
