My sense is that protestors are blocking ENTRY to their encampments, particularly by “Zionists”. In this video they keep saying she is “free to leave”. But was she trying to *enter* or cross through the space and getting blocked from doing so by an emerging line of protestors taking positions in her way? That would be my guess.

I don’t doubt she was deliberately staging this confrontation to make a point. But provocatively asserting one’s legal right to occupy a public or campus space is in its own way a valid form of protest. In any case I would recommend a little skepticism about the description here without more context.

She should have said she was scared after shooting the protesters… it is what Kyle and his supporters are advocating.

Rather than trying just to SWAT them..
Her counting of those surrounding her is all to the left of her.. no one stopping her from exiting stage right..

I expect some colleges to try writing rules into their system to prevent demonstrations on campus. Those rules will be challenged and overturned for any university taking public money, because they are illegal Prior Restraint under the First Amendment.
For private colleges, the limits are less clear. However, I expect that colleges who become known for extensive repression will suffer enrolment drops.
The most impactful activity in the medium term may be the behavior of alumni. If they sit on their hands and refuse to involve themselves with colleges, and stop donating money, the colleges may suffer more heavily in the medium term.

Observation: The leadership of many universities in the USA are currently treating people who are their customers like prisoners.

My conjecture is that she was trying to walk to the left and was being blocked by protestors effectively massing into a human wall for that purpose. You can find videos of this tactic being used at other encampment protests, for example at Columbia. But if she has a right to be there (on a campus where she is a student), the protestors have no right to block her access. Again, my guess is she was deliberately testing whether the police (perhaps campus police) would enforce her right to walk anywhere on campus -- opponents of these protests are generally unhappy that colleges are not enforcing their rules against these encampments. Admittedly, she does not seem that effective a counter-protestor to me.

But if that's what was happening, it's irrelevant that she was free to exit the area to the right. The issue would be illegally blocking her access to the left.

I expect some alumni and some future donors aren't going to be forking over the endowment money like they might have.

If she was driving a car in Florida she could have run them down… after all her right’s matter more than anything or anyone else.

But just like killer Kyle she was pretending to be in danger to put others in deadly peril.

Had she pulled a gun, not her phone to try to SWAT the protesters, killer Kyle’s cheer squad would have excused any maiming/killing as justified.

What evidence is there that she's a student? If she lives off-campus (no dogs in the dorm) why would she have any more rights being on public property than the protesters?

She was obviously hunting for an excuse..

Unlike Killer Kyle she had a dog and a hope that the police would do the maiming and killing.

There is an awful lot of attempted instigation going on. At Columbia and beyond. It is ugly.
Alejandra Caraballo @Esqueer_ wrote: A Zionist instigator at UCLA called anti war protesters the N word and spit on them trying to instigate a fight.

Surely, Jonathan Greenblatt and the ADL will condemn this since he spoke at this event.

Jill Stein took a face full of police bike. I still can't see her as anything but a Russian stooge though. She got arrested, BTW.

I've seen a number of disturbing videos from Washington University in St. Louis. This one I found particularly striking.
Sina Toossi @SinaToossi wrote: Many harrowing videos right now showing female students & professors at US universities--from young to old--violently arrested, dragged away, their hair yanked.

Why are so many "Women, Life, Freedom" champions silent? Does their human rights advocacy only apply to Iran?

Just that it would be odd for her to expect to enter the encampment if it's on campus (as I understand it to be) and she is not a student with an entitlement to be on campus property. But it's always possible she's an outsider. The question would be whether she has a right to walk her dog on that property. I think we don't really know everything relevant from the video.

My only point was that it seems much more probable to me that she was being blocked from entering the encampment, since protestors are using this tactic all over, and this illegal restriction of the rights of others is an issue for opponents of the protests.

ETA: some folks online purport to have ID'ed her as middle school special ed teacher. They're eager to notify her employer, of course. But searching for her distinctive name turns up paperwork suggesting she's already been let go effective end of this academic year. Also back in 2020 from a different school, at end of her probationary period. Kind of amazing how much googling can turn up, though reasons are confidential in both cases. But would not surprise me to learn she has issues.

Except she didn't claim she was prevented from entering. She claimed she was prevented from *leaving*.
