Making terroristic threats = felony
Having a loaded gun in the car = misdemeanor

'Course, it's possible to commit either crime without committing the other one.

Or is that what you're asking?

A woman told police she was driving southbound in the 1000 block of Eighth Street near Concordia College when a man pulled up next to her and yelled at her saying he disliked her bumper sticker supporting Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
. . .
Officers were able to locate the suspect inside a nearby business and found a loaded handgun in his vehicle’s center console, according to police. Police said the passenger of the vehicle confirmed what reportedly happened.
SMH. Which vehicle?

Joseph Schumacher was not alone in his vehicle during this encounter. Police said he had a friend riding in the passenger seat. This person was not publicly identified, but police said the passenger “also confirmed the actions of the suspect driver.”

I didn't realize it was two separate crimes. I was confuzzled because I thought it was one crime being called both a felony and a misdemeanor.

Thanks for the clarification!!

Is this an accurate example of this Trump Derangement Syndrome I keep hearing of?
To which Trump replied, Fuck the law. I don't give a fuck about the law. I want my fucking money.

Official for Arizona's largest county charged in adoption fraud scheme

The county assessor for Arizona’s largest county was indicted this week on charges of participating in an adoption fraud scheme, according to an indictment from Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R).

Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen (R) is accused of running an adoption law practice that brought women from the Marshall Islands to the U.S. to give birth and then placed the babies for adoption with U.S. parents, according to the indictment.

Petersen is also accused of falsely claiming the Marshall Islands women were Arizona residents to obtain services from the state’s Medicaid system, according to the newspaper.

As well, the county assessor is suspected of having violated a compact that prevents Marshall Islands citizens from coming to the U.S. for the sole purpose of adoption unless they have a special visa.

Petersen has been indicted on 32 counts, including conspiracy, theft, forgery and 29 counts of fraudulent schemes. The investigation also involved the state Department of Public Safety and the Utah Attorney General’s Office.

Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes (R) charged Petersen with 11 felonies, according to the Salt Lake Tribune, including human smuggling, sale of a child and communications fraud, with Reyes’ office alleging the assessor paid more than 40 pregnant women from the Marshall Islands to give up their children for adoption. <snip>

Gruesome Video of Fake Trump Killing Media in Mass Shooting Played at One of His Resorts

A doctored video depicts the president murdering his enemies, including CNN, Sen. John McCain and activist group Black Lives Matter

At a time when our nation is facing an epidemic of mass shootings, supporters of President Donald Trump showed a violent depiction of a fake Trump massacring members of the news media using a gun and other weapons at a conference held at one of the president’s resorts, the New York Times reported Sunday night.

American Priority, a group that supports the president, hosted the conference at Trump National Doral Miami. Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the president’s son Donald Trump Jr. and Florida Governor Rick DeSantis were all scheduled to speak at the event. But Huckabee Sanders and a source close to Trump Jr. denied either saw the video.

Bloomberg technology reporter William Turton surfaced a video matching the description from the Times on YouTube. The video appears to have been uploaded by YouTube account TheGeekzTeam in July 2018, and the account has posted other videos doctored to make it look like Trump is violently killing his enemies. Although Turton said he has not yet been able to confirm the YouTube video was the same one played at the conference, the details in the video as described by the Times line up, although portions like the Barack Obama interview at the end of the video were not reported to have been shown.

George Will just described the GOP, concerning Trump, as "docile, supine and invertebrate."

WASHINGTON — The White House on Monday said President Trump “strongly condemns” a gruesome fake video that depicts him shooting members of the news media and political rivals, which was shown at his Florida resort.

But, aides said, he had not seen it and planned to view it “shortly.”

“Re: the video played over the weekend: The @POTUS @realDonaldTrump has not yet seen the video, he will see it shortly, but based upon everything he has heard, he strongly condemns this video,” the White House spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said in a Twitter post on Monday morning.

Mr. Trump, who has been posting on Twitter about other topics early Monday — including wishing his former press secretary good luck on his appearance on Monday evening on “Dancing with the Stars” — has not mentioned or condemned the video himself.

Here is a prediction: he won't condemn the video using any of his official social media accounts. This will only come from the WH spokesperson, not directly from EGOTUS.

To be fair, it almost sounds like they pitched a “have you stopped beating your wife yet?” Type question to him.

Depending on how the question was asked, refusing to answer it may have been entirely reasonable.
