Yes, but unless things have changed since I left a couple years ago, voting by mail in NY is difficult, you have to have documentable Reasons.

Phhhht. You spoiled my sweet dreams

It's so much easier living in a state with all mail voting.

Just checked with my NY family, and I'm happy to be wrong on this one. Apparently they've eased the restrictions and no excuse absentee voting is now allowed.

Just checked in with the Washington Post. About 9% counted, but the Democratic candidate is running 2 to one over the Republican.

Kitara called it a while ago and blamed Pilip's GOP handlers.

Luke Johnson 🇺🇸 @Orly_licious 12m
🔥 George Santos (Kitara) doesn't seem confident about the Tom Suozzi & Mazi Pilip #NY3 Race. He's blaming @ANTHONYDESPO and @RepLaLota "for losing a seat in the House today!". 🇺🇸 The least productive (since the Great Depression) GOP Congress will be routed in #Election2024.

🚨 Mazi Pilip conceded and called Tom Suozzi in #NY3. Huge Victory for Democrats! @MrSantosNY blames @ANTHONYDESPO & @RepLaLota "for losing a seat in the House today!". 🇺🇸 MAGA Mike & the least productive GOP Congress will be routed in #Election2024. Chip Roy: #OneThing

How does this track with the NYTimes constant predictions of Doom for Democrats? How can they spin this into their favorite pro-Trump narrative?

This is nowhere close to where the polls had this. It was within 2-4 points in the polls.

I'd be interested in that analysis. I will say that all the polls I saw showed the race neck and neck; the Democrat had a slight edge within the margin of error. But it may have had a lot to do with the snow and republicans waiting until election day. Suckers!

Welcome to Congress Tom.
Welcome back Tom! He held that seat three terms before his ill fated run for governor.

The few talking heads I saw (and maybe written here and there) were calling this election a "toss up."

Just shows how polls are so so wrong. Thank goodness.
