Lately I've stumbled upon AKC sports - there's one called Flyball that's basically a relay race with tennis balls, and a diving competition. I'm not sure about that last one - isn't it bad to get water inside a dog's ears? But these goggies are jumping from a height of about a meter into a pool, and their ears definitely get a load of water molecules.
Flyball is fun but they have to tape the goggies' forelegs, they bounce so fast off the ball-holding wall at the end of the track. I found a video of a whippet and they're so fast it's pretty funny. But you have to be in the Sports Fans usergroup to see it.
Oh yeah, and if you join the Sports Fans, you can pick all 43 bowl games with the rest of us - not for money, you understand. For FUN.

Pancake and Biscuit playing “land sharks” (bed shark variant). Pancake created a high pitched “yo mama” trash talking yap just for this game. Biscuit responds with his Hound of the Baskerville bass.

An animal shelter in Pennsylvania reached a milestone this Christmas season, celebrating one of the rare moments where less is more.
The Adams county SPCA, which houses dogs, cats and other homeless, abandoned or lost animals, was empty for the first time in 47 years, according to a Facebook post from the shelter, reported by CNN.
“To say that we are beyond excited is an understatement! The staff and volunteers have worked VERY hard to take care of the animals in our care and to make sure they got adopted to the right home!” reads the post.
The shelter said 598 animals had been adopted, while 125 strays had been reunited with their owners. For pet lovers looking to add a member to their family units, Adams county SPCA staff members will be picking up animals from other shelters in Pennsylvania next week.
“Right now, we are going to enjoy this accomplishment! Merry Christmas!” the shelter said in the post.
The shelter was nearly at capacity in early December before they were emptied out on Friday.

Meet Sadie, the new family member we didn’t know we needed. Hubby found her at McDonald’s. She had just weaned her pups per the local Animal Services. She is a perfect fit! When Pancake gets tired of playing Sadie always has energy to play with Biscuit. They love chasing each other in the back yard. We think she’s part Rottie and Blue Heeler. Did I say she’s smart and sweet?
