When folks like that double down and say that it's the Deity's will that these women get pregnant if they dare to have sex (or are 'required' to by the covenant of marriage), I remind them that there's an easier, shorter way of expressing that argument: "Say it with me now: Inshallah." Funnily enough, they don't like saying 'Inshallah', but they do love expressing the translated concept.
But the sunshine aye shall light the sky,
As round and round we run;
And the truth shall ever come uppermost,
And justice shall be done.

My biology is rusty, but doesn't a promiscuous woman need a promiscuous man's involvement to get pregnant?

I've been hearing that stupid asprin joke since I was a teen. There was another stupid one I heard many times back in the 70's regarding rape not being possible because females can run faster with their skirt up than males with their pants down.

The MCBoS isn't messing around with MAGAts. Metal detectors, armed officers to escort commenters, etc. It's a shame it has come to this.

UPDATE: AZ Supreme Court Hears Arguments On Grandaddy of All Elections Sanctions Cases; Near Finality On AZGOP's 2020 Case

The Arizona Supreme Court heard oral arguments this morning on the grandaddy of all elections-related sanctions cases, and the Republican-appointed justices seemed skeptical of the AZGOP's post-2020 lawsuit that prompted the sanctions.

I don't know why those sheriffs or whatever aren't clearing the room.

Was that the meeting where someone came in and "put them on notice" that for some reason, they (the supervisors) had not been duly elected and had not produced their oath or some such nonsense?

That would explain why the lady in the video can be heard calling for volunteers to be members of the board of supervisors, I guess since all the seats on the board were vacant.

Putting people on notice seems to be a sovcit favorate.

Yeah I listed to most of that video and that's exactly what they were spouting. I heard "tribunal" "admiralty court" "jurisdiction" etc

This is what Lindell was touting as his "new" lawsuit (with "new" "explosive" evidence.)

Considering the 9th merely affirmed a no-standing dismissal, the cert. denial should be routine enough.

That's a bunch of gobbledygook. If you are encrypting your file transfers, you would expect some or all of that to be present in the device configuration(s). Leaving that information unredacted is the fault of those who dumped it to honor the records request. OTOH, imagine the ballyhoo if they had delivered redacted information.

‘Democracy is teetering’: at ground zero for Trump’s big lie in Arizona
The state Republican party is undaunted by electoral defeats for those claiming voting is rigged – and election officials are bearing the brunt of their fury

On a glorious spring day in Phoenix, in an atrium beneath the majestic cupola of the old state capitol, the secretary of state, Adrian Fontes, is celebrating Arizona’s 112th birthday.

He solemnly recites President William Howard Taft’s proclamation welcoming Arizona as the 48th state of the union. Speeches fete the state’s breathtaking landscapes, from the mighty Grand Canyon to the sprawling deserts of Yuma and lush green forests of Coconino, then a cake iced with the state seal is cut into 112 pieces and devoured in the sun-dappled Rose Garden.

There is only one discordant note on this otherwise joyous day. Who is that person standing silently and alert behind Fontes.
Why is Arizona’s chief election administrator, responsible for the smooth operation of November’s presidential election, in need of a bodyguard?

“It’s very sad,” Fontes said. “It’s a sad state of affairs that in a civil society, in one of the most advanced civilizations that anybody could have imagined, we have to worry about physical violence.”

These are troubled times in Arizona. Until 2020, election officials were the largely anonymous folk who did the important yet unseen work of making democracy run smoothly.

“Nobody knew who we were, what we did,” Fontes said ruefully. “It’s a little bit different now.”

All changed with Donald Trump’s unprecedented refusal to accept defeat in the 2020 election. His conspiracy to subvert the election has had an explosive impact in Arizona, a battleground state which has become arguably the ground zero of election denial in America.

I am not an expert in cryptography, but I am a retired IT nerd, so I have a little bit of familiarity with this subject.

AFAIK, encryption keys can safely stored as plain text. The way most encryption systems work is that the sender creates an encryption key and passes it to the encryption program along with the data or message, resulting in an encrypted version of the data. That encrypted data is then sent to the recipient. The recipient uses a decryption key that is completely different than the encryption key. The sender must send the decryption key via a seperate method.

Both the encryption and decryption keys kinda NEED to be plain text. They are almost always gibberish phrases, anyway. If the keys themselves were encrypted, how could they be used? They would have to be decrypted before use, using a different pair of encryption/decryption keys. Of course, this second-level set of keys must themselves be encrypted, right? That means another set of keys. Ad infinitum.

All modern encryption systems use such schemes. In fact, there are systems called public key encryption systems. I put my encryption key on my public website for all the world to see. If you wish to send me an encrypted message, you use that key to encrypt the message. When I receive the message, I use my private decryption key to read the message. I, the recipient must guard the decryption key carefully, but the encryption key is worthless in this respect.

So, having an encryption key in plain text is a nothingburger. Knowing the encryption key simply allows you to encrypt your own message, using the same algorithm. Unless your original text is identical to mine, the encrypted result will be different.
