The real test to see if GA has gone blue comes in the mid-term races, GA Dems and Indys are notorious for not showing up for off cycle elections. One important race will be here in GA that could decide whether Dems retain control of Senate of if the Dark Lord of the Mitch regains power...

Incredibly Herschel Walker is running with Trump's endorsement. He's nuts.

Walker's son posted a twit:

Nobody cares anymore if you say the quiet part out loud.

This one has gotten a lot of play:

Others have found that the Givenchy sweatshirt sells for $1200.

What an entitled little shit. I hope he has a driver and doesn't get caught DWB.

A Republican complaining about gas prices? Where is their entrepreneurial spirit? Build your own petrol company and make the market work again ;)

He's apparently also driving an $80k+ Land Rover not known for excellent mileage.

But girlfriend looks lovely in the $1,200 hoody & skimpy shorts. (I'm looking into revoking his gay card for being awful.)

Any cost estimate on the shoes? Also, my best guess on the gas is around $4.50/gallon based on the video. If he's at UCLA he's probably buying gas in CA, which is always high, and mostly state taxes I think. How does $4.50 compare to prices a year ago?

We're paying around $2.85/gallon here.

The highest I've seen here in Morgan Hill is $5.199/gal at the Chevron by the freeway. (Although you can get a 10¢/gal discount if you buy a carwash.)

The cheap places in town are all running between $4.379 & $4.429.

The highest in CA is always this one place in Big Sur, currently at $7 something a gallon. But that's a function of being very remote and on roads that require wee tiny tank trucks to make multiple trips instead of one big semi tanker to bring in the gas.
Edit: Gorda, CA, $7.59/gal for regular.
Estiveoshot_20211214_055225.jpg
Edit: Oh, I should also point out that California gas prices always jump in October when they switch to the winter blend, so that happened along with the general price increase.

And, finally, to answer Sugar's question about last year's prices, about $3.65 for most of last year.

This kid... His father should tell him to stop giving interviews. Or not, I suppose it doesn't matter, people will vote for him regardless.

Oh, honey, you have no idea how cruel the world’s gonna be to you. Just STFU, right now. You may not feel the full wrath.

I mean, this interviewer clearly thinks you’re FoS. Do you really think this is the look for you?

To make it clear, the son is presumably talking about winning world championships in competitive cheerleading, which he did in high school. So, basically, he spent 2 or 3 years of high school working in a mall, while competing in cheerleading events and presumably (as claimed) skipping a grade.

Let me make this clear: this is absolutely an excellent level of achievement *in its context*. But to pretend it happened in a class-neutral vacuum and that it matters past one's college years is fairly ridonkulous.

Almost three years for social media threats.
Proud Boys supporter sentenced to jail for social media threats to kill Sen. Warnock
:snippity:
Florea posted threatening statements to social media app Parler about killing elected officials, including now-United States Sen. Raphael Warnock, and committing other acts of violence in Washington D.C., after the 2020 election results.

According to prosecutors, Florea applied to join the Proud Boys, a far-right group, but was not yet a member because he had not attended the requisite number of meetings.

On the night before the Capitol riots, Florea posted several messages about going armed and taking back Washington. He also posted at 11:53 p.m. that “Warnock is going to have a hard time casting votes for communist policies when he’s swinging with the (expletive) fish.”

The next morning, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Florea referenced Warnock again and stated, “Dead men can’t pass (expletive) laws...”

Well, attendance is important. Is that the only qualification?

I believe it also involves getting punched in the face and reciting the names of breakfast cereal- I think those are at the same time. Something about an anti-masturbation oath as well.

I dunno Foggy, not sure I’m up for it. You leading the charge?

Heck, yeah, I even have a cereal joke.

Q. What's left after a forest fire?
A. Crispy Critters.

I didn't say it was a good joke, I said it was a joke. :oopsy:

Many are suggesting CTE. To me it looks like he’s high, but I’m no expert on high as I’ve never done drugs.

U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker pulled out of a weekend event organized by U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after she spoke at a white nationalist rally where attendees cheered Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and chanted Vladimir Putin’s name.

Walker had planned to speak Saturday at Greene’s “Second Amendment and Freedom Rally” in Rome alongside U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz, strategist Stephen Bannon and other far-right figures.

But his campaign told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday that he will no longer participate in the rally, which was to promote a gun rights expansion in Georgia. His campaign spokeswoman offered no additional comment.

Other Republicans, including former U.S. Sen. David Perdue, said they still plan to attend.
