Mike Pompeo discussed Biden’s upcoming trip to Saudi Arabia. On MBS: “The Crown Prince has made life better for all the Saudi people, including females there. This is a transformational leader.” The Fox host then praises Pompeo and Jared Kushner for helping “transform” MBS
:confuzzled: So if MBS is reformed now, why is it so awful for Biden to meet with him?

Fox brings on a guest who was a recent visitor to Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, to complain about his tour guide over-emphasizing TJ’s history as a slave owner: “I just thought that Monticello would be protected from this disease of wokeism.”
This is not the first time in recent days Fox has covered this shocking news. Why?
Edit: Wrong link.

Contrast neutral source vs. Fox on same story.

I fear it is possible that poor Dana does not understand the First Amendment. In other news, got behind a truck with the plate of "2A GUY" yesterday, so there's that.

Getting outraged over Fox News holds little allure these days, but occasionally the network will do something so quintessentially Fox News that you have to sit back and marvel at the layers of mendacity.

Today’s little Fox News gem was a segment on what a huge bummer it is to visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello these days, what with all the focus on slavery and what not at what was built as a slave plantation.

A bow-tied, bespectacled guest for the segment was billed hilariously in one chyron as a “recent Monticello visitor.” Turns out there’s a little more to the story.

The guest was one Jeffrey Tucker. Who?

Credit to the journalist and author Jonathan Katz, who quickly pieced together Tucker’s backstory.

Days after spinning June’s strong jobs report as “America’s employment crisis,” Fox News is now concerned that the month-long drop in sky-high fuel costs could potentially be a bad thing for “mom-and-pop gas stations.”

So, I do not watch Fox News. I don't know who this female talking head is.

For those who occasionally wander over to the dark side, is AquaNetTM a sponsor of this segment? I mean this woman's hair is so stiff with hairspray it must crackle when she puts her head down on a pillow or against the headrest in her automobile.

Didn't varnished hair fall out of fashion in the early 70s?

Townhall.com is trash. The video is great, Berkeley Law Professor Khiara Bridges is great and speaks the truth, even understating it IMO. Meanwhile, Townhall.com plays the racist "angry black woman" stereotype to a T, and openly. This is where we are at. And, you don't get to regulate or put rights up to a vote. Isn't that the whole 2A argument? Or does that not play for 4A?

The dollar bill story is stupid, but Gutfield goes on to say something really telling: "As an ignorant person, I can say anything I want." That sums up FoxNews and ties it in a sweet little bow.

Ingraham’s coverage of today’s hearing consists of her commenting on Cheney’s background, complaining that Murphy mispronounced Cipollone’s name, commenting on how blurry Jason Miller looked…
:fingerwag: I have lost count of how many Fox news peeps and commentators who have pronounced Kamala's name wrong. And I forget who it was, but one time Kilmeade just totally butchered (really butchered) someone's name and was there an apology/correction? Nope.

At least they were respectful and never misspelled President Osama's name.

Nor did they ever say his name as Barack Hussein Obama with emphasis on his middle name.

Stuck-on-stupid Charlie Kirk was Barack Hussein Obama-ing him just this morning on his podcast. Neither here nor there, but it was in reference to his firm belief (you can watch the documentary film on pay-per-view or buy the DVD) that Michelle Obama is going to run for president in ‘24 in order to finish the job of destroying America that Barack Hussein Obama began, but failed to complete with their racist policies and blah blah blah.

I'm afraid to ask how it's pronounced--my Italian college roommate would have said:

"chee-pole-LONE-ay"

I for one would love to hear the George Bush pronunciation for Cipollone. That could be fun.

Via F&F this morning. Massive amounts of migrants are crossing the border!! Video to prove it!!! Coyotes escorting them!!! Invasion one local official called it, INVASION!!! Kilmeade repeats - INVASION!

Then, off to backtrack after all the complaints about the ten year old being raped was all a fake story and now that perp has been arrested they have to change the narrative (they really must be used to that by now). They've honed in on this perp being an ILLEGAL ALIEN! and had a list of other cases of other men in the country illegally in the country being accused of sex crimes. I'd really like a fact checker to see the numbers of that compared to the percentage of white men committing sex crimes.

How would they have played this story if it was a white man who was arrested? Hmmmm?

Either late last week or early this week I was :confuzzled: about how outraged F&F hosts were because Biden was going to Saudi Arabia and awful that MBS was. They were horrified Biden could do this. Outrage.

Then, a few days later it's all sunshine and roses about the Saudi golf league and why it's a good thing (paraphrasing here). Surprise, surprise, apparently a couple of Trump courses are hosting Liv Golf. Imagine that.

Fox contributor Tomi Lahren says she doesn’t understand why that she why Britney Griner would want to be freed from a Russian prison for cannabis oil, since she doesn’t stand for the Nat Anthem. Then says instead of trying to free her, Biden should send her a tape of the Anthem.
Video won't play for me, so broke the link.

Watched the last hour of F&F this morning. No mention of J6, Secret Service and missing texts, Bannon trial, Navarro kerfuffles. Crickets. Big chunk of time given to talking about Kamala and all the staff she's losing compared to prior administrations blah blah blah. Lots of time about rising crime and of course - THE BORDER!!! :horse:

They did talk about Biden's Saudi trip, which is news, but they spun it as a huge embarrassment and guest host Kayleigh had to chime in how much more effective tfg was at handling the Saudis to achieve the best for the US (no mention of Kushner and his cushy deal and all that cash, nor any mention how tfg and staff ignored the MBS murder accusations.

PS, I'm seeing a trend over the last few days, it's no longer a border crises, but an INVASION! Heard Bartiromo use that word on today's show.

I remember back in 2018 there was a caravan and Fox was tracking it day by day as it ominously approached the border. It was billed as an army 2000 strong approaching the border as the days clocked down tot he election... and then the Democrats won and no-one heard from it again.

They are losing clicks/eyeballs, so gotta ratchet it up.

They're attention whores, just like the people they prop up.

Obviously, Fox News was successful and turned the convoy invasion back running scared from the negative publicity... or something.

Then moved on to next story their viewers should be outraged about...

On Fox today, we learned from an avid fisherman and conservative political commentator that offshore drilling and oil rigs are actually good for the environment because they attract fish.

I mean, I guess it's good that the rigs make decent artificial reefs since any leaking oil kills the real, living reefs? I dunno. Seems like there is something not quite right there.

Yes, the fishes loved the Deepwater Horizon event. (do all Fox viewers have only a short term memory?). ... It was only 12 years ago.
