I was thinking the same thing. We had to request medical records for the kids 2 different times for relatively minor incidents and they were both easily 19 pages long. As a retired medical transcriptionist, I agree. It's probably a 2 pg H&P plus (mostly) radiology test results which usually are short and sweet. also, consults. The longterm girlfriend of late Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick, who died following the Jan. 6 riot, says that the GOP senators who blocked the creation of a commission to investigate the insurrection have effectively spat in Sicknick's face.
In an interview with "CBS This Morning" released on Tuesday, Sicknick's partner Sandra Garza and his mother Gladys Sicknick, both of whom had lobbied lawmakers personally for the commission's creation, said the senators who voted it down had disrespected his memory.
"I'm disgusted that the Republican senators, that decided to vote no. It's a spit in the face to Brian, it's a spit in the face to all the officers that were there that day," Garza said.
She said that she and Sicknick were previous backers of then-President Trump, whose supporters stormed the Capitol in effort to block the certification of President Biden's Electoral College victory, but both Garza and Sicknick's mother now cast blame on Trump.
"He knew that Brian was devoted to him, and he did not once reach out to me, to Gladys, he didn't even send a letter of condolences. He did absolutely nothing. And so, you know, it's very upsetting, you know, that he's not - and I would meet with him, actually. I would. I would meet with him," Garza said.

I imagine some of these people will likely fire their attorneys and exercise their Sixth Amendment right to self-representation. Lopatic specifically is accused of ripping off one of the officer's helmet and gas mask, stealing his cellphone--breaking his body camera, an essential piece of evidence-- and hitting him with an uppercut, according to prosecutors statements.
The prosecutors argued that Lopatic should be kept in custody because he possesses a risk of obstructing justice.
Judge Sullivan stated that prosecutors had conceded that he was not accused of “a crime of violence as defined under bail laws”, and went on to say “nor is the former Marine a flight risk”.
“The Court is also very troubled by two obstructive acts Mr. Lopatic undertook — stealing and then discarding an MPD officer's body worn camera,” Sullivan wrote.
But then he went on to say, “those actions were not indicators for obstruction of justice.”
The destruction of the body camera has been deemed relevant to the case, but the Judge states that the government failed to prove that Lopatic destroyed or concealed other evidence.
Lopatic’s attorney, Dennis Boyle, was surprised at the judge’s decision to release him Monday, instead of having a hearing, reports LNP.
Boyle spoke with Lopatic on Monday and told LNP he "was doing well and happy to be with his family.”
Lopatic must comply with release conditions which include surrendering any guns, taking medication and staying away from other defendants.
He faces a maximum penalty of 21 years and 6 months in prison and more than $1 million in fines, according to court records.
Judge Sullivan scheduled a status hearing for Lopatic's case on May 5

That weapon was a Taser, prosecutors say.
Well, I had to call an electrician to fix a circuit I "broke" when I installed a wall outlet with four power points an a couple of USB charger points. When I turned the master breaker back on the circuit I was working on wouldn't work. I checked everything and came to the conclusion that the circuit breaker had died. Told this all to the electrician and he said no, circuit breakers don't fail. So he spent 3 hours tracing everything on the circuit befor giving up and swapping out the circuit breaker. Boy was he sheepish when he handed me the bill.
