I want one of them to apply this logic on a military base: Since they paid taxes, they own that tank, and should get to drive it once in a while. That's my attack helicopter. Those are my bombers too. Let's go for a ride.

In May 2021, Heard admitted that he had contracted COVID-19 in April, that his father had also become ill and his brother had been hospitalized.

Anti-Mask Activists Intimidating Essential Workers as Fake Federal Agents Likely Violated Federal Law
COLIN KALMBACHER Aug 8th, 2020, 1:43 pm

Anti-mask activists pretending to be federal agents are violating federal law, according to a former federal prosecutor. A viral video of people purporting to be affiliated with the so-called “Freedom to Breathe Agency” (FTBA) has been viewed several million times since being cross-posted from TikTok to Twitter on Friday. “We are with FTBA, the Freedom to Breathe Agency,” a woman wearing a white baseball cap and sunglasses tells a grocery store worker in Laguna Niguel, California, “Making sure that people’s constitutional rights–civil and federal laws–are not broken. Okay? And so you, personally, need to take this to your manager. Because you, personally, can be sued for this, okay?” The worker responds askance: “I’m just following the store policy about masks.”

The woman pretending to be a federal agent has since been identified as “detox” maven and spiritualist Lenka Koloma, in a Change.org petition calling for charges to be filed by the Federal Trade Commission. Koloma was previously reported to be the FTBA’s “founder” by ABC News in late June. Koloma goes on to discuss the worker’s wages as not worth the effort of (non-existent) legal liability for mask-wearing. “You are probably paid $15 dollar an hour or $12 an hour okay, but you are putting yourself into major legal liability,” she says as the person recording the incident audibly expresses their disdain for her wage-shaming. “You, personally, okay?” The worker walks away feigning interest and rolling her eyes. “You guys need to be careful!” Koloma insists as the video ends.

But aside from rude and factually wrong, what Koloma and her accomplice are doing appears to be in violation of federal law. “This is a crime and these people should be prosecuted,” former Illinois assistant U.S. Attorney Renato Mariotti said on Twitter. Mariotti doesn’t appear to be off-base here. The law on point here–18 U.S.C. §1912–reads, in full:

Whoever falsely assumes or pretends to be an officer or employee acting under the authority of the United States or any department, agency or officer thereof, and acts as such, or in such pretended character demands or obtains any money, paper, document, or thing of value, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

It is presently unclear if any such investigation has been initiated. Law&Crime previously reported on the FTBA’s misrepresentations. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) went so far as to issue an official statement debunking the FTBA, their claims and their false affiliation with the federal government in late June. “Do not be fooled by the chicanery and misappropriation of the DOJ eagle,” U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina Matthew G.T. Martin said in a statement. “These cards do not carry the force of law. The ‘Freedom to Breathe Agency,’ or ‘FTBA,’ is not a government agency.” An archived version of the FTBA’s Facebook page explains their science-like but non-scientific opposition to masks:

Oxygen is No.1 nutrient for every living organism including humans. Wearing a mask is an unhealthy obstruction of oxygen flow that can lead to hypoxemia and hypoxia, can permanently damage the brain, lungs, heart and about any organ. We must protect our birth right to breathe. This is NOT negotiable. FTBA is an agency designed to stop face mask orders from spreading nationwide and globally.

The FTBA’s attempted biology lesson is apparently made in service of the often-repeated right-wing myth that face masks lower oxygen levels when worn. That claim, while frequently repeated by conservative activists, is decidedly not true. The viral video of the FTBA adherents attempting to intimidate a grocery store worker is likely to add additional dimensions to the battle between myopic personal choice advocates and those genuinely concerned with public health. Koloma defiantly posted on Instagram in response to the furor:

Message to all the haters that stormed my IG account today: “Thank you. Thank you for showing your ignorance to what the United States of America stands for. Our republic was built on promises of freedom and personal liberty. I have lived in communism where the government dictates what you can and cannot do. You have no idea or reference. If you want to wear a face mask please feel free to do so. Just please allow others to make their own educated decision. If you cannot see through all the lies and corruption you are lost and asleep. For the rest of us, the true patriots, our fight goes on and you only bring the needed attention to our cause. So, thank you. Just remember that hate and anger will never bring you an inner peace. We feel for you and see that you are hurting for which we send tons of love and healing light your way because that’s who we are. Namaste”

Sounds like Kokesh got pulled over for traveling - cops found illegal shrooms and he was acting weird. Says he spent 12 days in jail but charges were dropped. He is gonna keep traveling. No idea if this is true - Colorado court records are a mystery to me.

"CENTER — Center Police Department Officer Eidy Guaderrama stopped a vehicle on Friday, Dec. 10, which led to the arrest of Adam Kokesh, 39, of Arizona.

According to CPD Chief Dale Meek, “Officer Guaderrama stopped a vehicle traveling through Center without license plates. The operator was very erratic in his behavior.”

According to CPD, during the traffic stop, the driver was acting unpredictably and did not wish to cooperate with Officer Guaderrama’s request for a license, registration and insurance.

Due to the behavior of the driver and subsequent investigation, CPD K-9 Kitt was deployed to check the vehicle for narcotics. K-9 Kitt indicated that drugs were present, and the suspect Kokesh was found to have warrants out of Wise County, Texas, for possessing dangerous drugs.

During a search of the vehicle, 302 aftermarket pills were allegedly found containing so-called psychedelic “magic” mushrooms, weighing 46 grams.

“Please be aware of this drug, as it has been crushed and put into capsules for sale,” Chief Meek said.

Kokesh was charged with suspicion of unlawful distribution, manufacturing, dispensing or sale of a schedule 1 controlled substance.

This is the latest in a string of drug arrests in Center. Psychedelic mushrooms can be deadly when ingested, with some of the side effects listed as nausea, paranoia, panic, hallucinations and psychosis. According to medical professionals, psilocybin, the active ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms, is classified as a schedule 1 drug which means that it has a high potential for misuse and has no accepted medical use in the United States."

Some idiot in the comments says he talked to a TX bail person and says Adam does not have a warrant in Texas. This is nonsense. I can see his warrant in Texas. I have also interacted with Adam on the birdy site and he admits he has a warrant there and has no intention of entering that County again.
The red "w" means warrant.

Just curious: does "we do not consent" = "resisting arrest"?

The words themselves are meaningless, the noncompliance to exit the car and having to be pulled out of it is the resisting arrest part.

There's apparently a quirk in the Colorado law which states that possession of 'fully realized' fruiting bodies of mushrooms containing psilocybin is illegal BUT you may possess SPORES of the mushroom containing psilocybin because the spores do not actually have psilocybin.

I'm wondering if he was carrying around capsules with spores, thus not actually in possession of psychoactive mushrooms? You can find people who will sell you spores, and it would make sense to put the spores up in capsules.

Well, and also because basically everyone on the planet Earth is in possession of the spores, which creates something of a hurdle for prosecutors.

You see, the spores are carried by the wind worldwide, being very, very small and very, very light. They are literally everywhere, worse than Trump supporters.

But they can only germinate where the temperature doesn't fall below 80° F. at night, and unless you create a specific growing medium, they germinate only in cow pies. So when I picked fresh psychedelic mushrooms in Colombia, South America, even then we had to go significantly inland, where the oceans wouldn't lower the temperature at night. We were down near Calí.

Not true.
The Psilocybe azurescens is a cold weather mushroom that grows in temperature ranges below 40F in nature. Even for spores to germinate, the temps need to be down around the 50F-55F range for 1 to 2 weeks to start the life cycle in nature. However spawn runs have been published as high as 75F but spore germination and fruiting temperatures are always much lower. This is typical of most wood loving cold weather psilocybe mushrooms. Once the first hard frost comes then the mycelium stops sending up mushrooms. Very typical of wood loving edible mushrooms as well.
and...
Psilocybe cyanescens is the sister species to the Psilocybe azurescens and is also native to the Pacific NW USA and is now spread through many countries in Europe. It's nick name is "wavy caps" as you can see by it's wavy looking caps, very cool! It's a cold weather wood loving species and thrives in the Seattle area due the alder mulch used in landscaping. The Psilocybe cyanescens does not just thrive in Washington state though, as so many mushroom pickers have spread the spores along the western states and Canada. This species has really adapted to change and tends to be one of the most popular species of psilocybin mushrooms to find in Oregon and Washington.

Just before our big snow/low temps here, the PNW mushroom pages were full of non-mushroom people getting excited about their big hauls of 'cyans' and 'azzies'. They were sad to learn that they'd found galerina instead. Galerinas will kill you.

Well, I admit, I picked and ate them, let's see ... in 1974.

And it was an article of faith among my friends that they wouldn't grow unless it was warm overnight. We traveled way out in the countryside to find cow pastures, and I can assure you that the only mushrooms we saw were growing directly from the cow pies (we washed them) and there were quite a few of them.

Somewhere there might still be a photo of me and about 40 mushrooms sitting on a hotel bed. Probably destroyed, though. That isn't really me anyway. :nope: I didn't look like that in 1974.

Whatever. :oldman:

At any rate, to get back to Mr Travelin' Man, his case was very likely dismissed because he may have had capsules of nothing but spores. If so, what he had was not illegal according to Colorado law.

I have said it before but I'll say it again. . .the culture of victimhood is overwhelming in the sovcit/freeman.poot/community.

I know plenty of people who reject society's mainstream values and norms without playing the victim. . .in turn Buddhists, vegetarians, people who reject consumerism, ardent 2nd amendment supporters with massive gun safes, same sex couples, ultra right wingers, militant priests. . .and on and on.

All these folks find a way in the world that comports with their beliefs without relying on a phony sense of persecution.. The vegetarians don't feel victimized by Mc Donald's. They just do't eat their hamburgers. The gun owners don't decry people who refuse to own weapons. They just go to the range.

They have friends and family who don't share their beliefs. They have jobs. They are courteous to others.
