There are LOTS of crunchy New York Times v. Sullivan and third party funding identification tidbits in this order. Yummy!

According to this, Nunes' family has paid the entire $500 of attorneys fees.

In a court hearing this summer, the congressman’s brother said that he had “no idea” who was paying their lawyers and that the family had only paid one $500 fee.

“Anthony Nunes III’s lack of knowledge about who is paying the attorneys prosecuting this action raises legitimate concern about not only who may be in charge of the lawsuit, but also whether Plaintiffs are still the real parties in interest,” Roberts wrote in his decision.

Twitter is a flutter with gossip that Nunes won't seek re-election.*

Assuming this is accurate, there's speculation as to his motivation. But it is most likely to most mundane of reasons: redistricting.

* Some are saying "retiring," as in gone before January 2023.

Note the effective date, end of 2021, not 2022.

OK,

So he grows up in Tulare County on a dairy farm. Lotsa Portuguese dairy farmers in that part of the state. Bounces around local politics for a few years and then bursts onto the national scene as a representative 20 years ago.

And this somehow qualifies him to run this media organization? There is more to this story, redistricting or not.

:nope:

Literally only logged into TFB just now (my self-imposed bedtime was technically half an hour ago or so) to see if there was already buzz about this. Y'all do not disappoint.

The only qualification you need to work for T***p is you must be thoroughly corrupt. On that, Devin is qualified in spades! When has T***p ever hired an actually qualified person for his business or his Administration/

Devin Nunes will be retiring from Congress at the end of this month to become CEO of Trump's 'media company' that is currently under federal investigation. He will not be missed.

So the bastard either leaves his district without a representative for a year or he causes the expense of a special election. Why doesn’t that surprise me?

He's got a big mouth, he's stupid and vain, and will be perfect patsy for LaRump when things go further south with his pretend media company. Any takers on the bet?

75% of most "media organizations" of this type is blow & hookers; he's got that part down.
