Throwback, still hilarious.

Police stop pro-Trump groups from fighting each other at wild California GOP event

California Republicans overhauled their delegate selection process today in a manner expected to help Donald Trump in 2024, the Los Angeles Times reported.

But the most interesting part of the story was what happened between two separate groups of pro-Trump protesters outside the event. Apparently confused by social media posts, they were denouncing the very action that the Trump campaign wanted.

And the best part is that they ended up trying to physically attack one another – outside a California Republican Party meeting at an Irvine hotel – until police intervened to cool them off.

Here’s how the Times reported the protest piece of the story.

“Tensions flared…with pro-Trump protesters denouncing the move (to change the delegate-selection process), police getting called and two factions nearly coming to fisticuffs,” the report said.

“Protesters wearing red 'Make America Great Again' caps and carrying American, Trump and 'Don’t Tread on Me' Gadsden flags gathered outside of the committee meeting, chanting Trump’s name and 'America First!' After they tried to enter the meeting and were blocked by security guards, Irvine police officers showed up and tried to cool emotions."

The report continues:

“Later, two pro-Trump factions began screaming at each other, with one accusing the other of being white nationalists and the other responding that their foes supported open borders... They started jostling with one another and nearly came to blows until other protesters stepped between the two groups.”

Gifted link from WaPo. This is why we can't have nice things.

In an Atlanta suburb, American realities collide over Trump’s indictment
Ramsey had felt the magic and energy of Trump’s early rise as a candidate in 2015. He served in the Army in Vietnam and ran several small businesses, including his current venture as a landscaper. He liked that Trump was a fellow businessman, but what really drew him in was the energy and dedication of the crowds that rallied to him.

A few miles away, Jerry Ramsey, 79, was finishing up a landscaping job for the company he owns and heading home for dinner with his wife, Carolyn. She usually kept Fox News on in the background, but Ramsey didn’t feel the need to learn the intricacies of the case against Trump. As he saw it, the 45-page indictment was just another effort to tear down the country he, a Vietnam vet, had worked so hard to defend.
“They just dream stuff up,” he said. “They just keep coming after him.”

Liam Nissan's sources say MAGAT's have named their civil war plans "Mountain Dew Code Red".

And someone has a tat for that - You can't unmountain dew what's already been mountain done.

Clever. Definitely a tat you'll want your kids and grandkids to see. All the good sense God gave little green apples.

Or something.

What I always find chilling is how in cases like this neighbors and family come out of the woodwork to wax eloquent about how he was such a good man and would help anyone who needed it, how kind and considerate they were... to them. They can not imagine the violence because it is focused outgroup, probably at people the speaker sympathizes with violence against.

Considering where he lived, he may have had a lifetime of brainwashing. In some respects (fingers held together with a gap that just barely passes daylight) he may be the victim here ... An unwitting participant in a battle he didn't entirely understand, and never knew he was an expendable pawn. The people that fomented this are counting on ordinary well known, well respected guys like this to be their sleeper agents.

They are slowly zeroing in on the best trigger, and they expect all hell to break loose when the right button is pushed. They got close on J6 when Trump was able to rally hundreds to overtake the capital. But Trump is too stupid to be the mind behind the scenes. He's charismatic narcissisist that can hold a crowd, but he's just another piece on the board. Someone is playing a very long patient game.

Putin? Maybe some Saudi leaders? Others?

They don't need a particular leader or even a major event. They want disruption. They want some chaos. This is how they want to weaken the US.
