That's a trip. Thx.
Yes, very cool. I sent a link to this to my “artist” son asking how they do that. He texted back, “Mom… even my business cards do that"

It's four years today since the Pittsburgh Tree of Life Synagogue shooting, which killed eleven people. The shooter has not been to trial yet. Every once in a while, news about all the legal wranglings still going on hits the news here.

This guy does some fun songs. I enjoy his kooky postings, but I can't get this tune out of my head now.

Elsewhere in the arid SW the balloon harvest begins. Despite a poor water year and high summer temps, the crop has been quite extraordinary with massive blooms visible for miles. Even considering their size, the seed heads can easily capture a small gust of wind and float far away to start the next generation.

That looks very cool but I could never get into one of them. As an older person I have developed a real problem with high places and have to take Xanax to get on an airplane. I don't go into very tall buildings either if I don't have to. :oldlady: :bag:

I blindfolded my ex-husband one time and took him down to the banks of the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge to see the balloons one year. They lit up the balloons at dusk one night and it was just amazing. I took lots of photos, they are reall spectacular when you get hundreds of them all in one place.

This explains a lot…

Edited to add the text from the above cartoon: "Isn't it sad how some people's grip on their lives is so precarious that they'll embrace any preposterous delusion rather than face an occasional bleak truth?"

Tonight we’re going to some friend’s house who are having a Murder Mystery party and everyone has been assigned a character. Mine is Carrie Onvamping- The Elegant Carrie is never seen with a hair out of place. She's always sporting the latest fashion, tonight wearing a sparkly flapper dress, matching headband and a fur shrug around her shoulders. She has an eye for older men and so she dresses to impress!

And my Mr’s character is William Curst- The Rich Man in a smoking jacket with matching hat and slippers, William can't fail to look impressive, especially with Carrie Onvamping on his arm.

I think it’s going to be fun!

That sounds like fun, MsDaisy. The Kid and his Lady Wife have been in a group of friends who meet each weekend to watch two horror films, then decide which one should move to the next bracket. They have really enjoyed that. I couldn't watch scary flicks until I was in my 40's and only on TV, not in a theater.

Tragic. When my daughter lived in Seoul her two biggest complaints were the large crowds and the small towels.

Remember when Obama's tan suit was such a controversy with the right? Now they're perfectly fine with a president keeping classified documents in a largely unsecured facility. I'm sure the fact that OSG is white---ish and conservative instead of black and liberal has nothing to do with it.
