Garrison is in many ways a great illustrator but he is utterly hopeless at making his illustrations look anything like the people they are supposed to represent. So he always has to label the people he has in his cartoons, otherwise people wouldn't have a clue who he is drawing about. Also, he is so twisted in his thinking that people honestly don't know what the hell he is representing.

With The Loser it is fairly easy as all you have to do is model the ridiculous hair.

The Former guy seems to have lost 150 pounds of muscle in that illustration as well. Normally, with Garrison, he has muscles the Terminator would be proud of. Garrison still cant bear to add the 200 pounds of lard that would be a better representation of the subject.

A lot of cartoonists label people-even when it's obvious who they are. But to Bill's question, that's mine too: Field? Sky? Football? Glove? Like those aren't obvious? Why? And how the holy toothpicks are they relevant?

Yep, tfg is no longer superhero superhuman in build, just average. I doubt he'll be portrayed "supersize."

Ya, I actually just noticed that. What the hell? You're right, there is no point to those labels at all.

The only thing I can think of is that here is some kind of shite about those in whatever right wing bubble Garrison marinates in. But I haven't a clue what their meaning would be otherwise.

The "1917" on the scoreboard is the year of the Russian Revolution, obviously. Maybe Garrison should not be drawing attention to Russia Russia Russia?
