I've been under the weather for a few days, so I'm just seeing this. I'm so sorry. I had to do this in April, but he went quickly, as expected, so I can barely imagine what you are going through. In that case, the hospice team brought in snacks and drinks for us, which seemed so unreal. You are in my thoughts.

Bill, I am so very sorry. You were the best partner she, or anyone, could hope for. You did an exceptional job taking care of her. Now take a few days to take care of yourself. The dishes, the laundry, it can wait. Do whatever you feel you need to do for you. I know it feels weird that the world continues to turn, but the world will be just fine for a few days while you grieve.

So sorry to hear even though it was, and is going to happen to all of us. Get thru your days as best you can. Hopefully you will be able to start remembering the fun times over the years and remember the sweet times even . Please take care.
