As far as Taiwan is concerned. Xi may be taking notice of what's happening here.

Trump’s border wall has been breached more than 3,000 times by smugglers, CBP records show

By Nick Miroff
March 2, 2022 at 2:32 p.m. EST

NACO, Arizona — Mexican smuggling gangs have sawed through new segments of border wall 3,272 times over the past three years, according to unpublished U.S. Customs and Border Protection maintenance records obtained by The Washington Post under the Freedom of Information Act.

The government spent $2.6 million to repair the breaches during the 2019 to 2021 fiscal years, the CBP records show. While the agency has acknowledged that smugglers are able to hack through the new barriers built by the Trump administration, the maintenance records show damage has been more widespread than previously known, pointing to the structure’s limitations as an impediment to illegal crossings.

Smuggling gangs typically cut the barrier with inexpensive power tools widely available at retail hardware stores, including angle grinders and demolition saws. Once the 18-to-30-foot-tall bollards are severed near the ground, their only remaining point of attachment is at the top of the structure, leaving the steel beam dangling in the air. It easily swings open with a push, creating a gap wide enough for people and narcotics to pass through.

A spokesman for CBP, Luis Miranda, said effective border security “requires a variety of resources and efforts, infrastructure, technology, and personnel.”

“No structure is impenetrable, so we will continue to work to focus resources on modern, effective border management measures to improve safety and security,” Miranda said in a statement.

Along one 25-mile segment of new border wall between Naco and Douglas, Ariz., The Post recently counted 71 bollards with visible repairs and welds. In most instances, crews repaired the breaches using a sleeve-like steel coupler, referred to as a “boot,” to patch over the hole.

Some of the bollards were marked “BREACH” in white lettering, and most had the date of their repairs scrawled just above the welded segments.

It's a fence, not a wall.

They may as well put in food carts, motels, and some 7-11's. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

The motels and 7-11s embedded or attached to the wall will actually be the new face of the budget-end Trump International "American Idea" chain, of course. This was always the plan, people.

They'll take all the jobs there and never need to come into the USA.

Well, duh, he'll put them on the other side of the wall, so that he can also build and hire under Mexican construction and labor laws.

Winning!

Wow. Did he come up with that one on his own? Brilliant. Yeah. Let's do it. Uh-huh. Definitely.

Let's do some practice runs over Mar-a-Lago first just to see how effective they'll be.

Somehow, I think that the Russian Air Force and Army are smart enough to recognize an F-22 and that they know that the Chinese don't own any.

His cult followers will love it, though!

There's also the issue that F-22 are fighter jets not bombers.

More specifically, they're air superiority fighters, and not designed to carry a massive bomb load. Truly awesome planes and a tragedy that they cancelled the program so early. If you've ever seen one fly at an airshow, you'll wonder how they suspended the laws of physics temporarily. If you haven't seen one in action, it's worth the trip to a nearby airshow this summer.

The F-35 is better suited for delivering air-to-ground weapons. And even better than the F-35 is the F-15, which is aging but is still unsurpassed for speed and as a "bomb truck," for ground attack. The F-15 would likely be the best tool for "bombing the shit out of Russia."

What's so appalling about Trump's stupidity is that he thinks that this will show how smart he is. You don't have to be an expert on aerial warfare to realize that this is the sort of bright idea an 8-year-old would devise. I happen to know several world-class experts on aerial warfare, and I won't embarrass myself by asking them for any thoughts on Trump's brilliant plan.

The WaPo headline and article repulse me (and yes, as a subscriber I told them so). What possible excuse is there for amplifying this idiots ignorant, lying, abusive words? None. It was bad enough when he was infecting the WH, and there is no excuse now.

Just like Trump's suggestion that doctors inject bleach into people to destroy Covid. Same level of intelligence.

Trump muses on war with Russia and praises Kim Jong Un
Former president Donald Trump mused Saturday to the GOP’s top donors that the United States should label its F-22 planes with the Chinese flag and “bomb the s--t out of Russia.”

He also praised North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as “seriously tough,” claimed he was harder on Vladimir Putin than any other president, reiterated his false claims that he won the 2020 election, urged his party to be “tougher” on supposed election fraud, disparaged a range of prominent party opponents and called global warming “a great hoax” that could actually bring a welcome development: more waterfront property.

“And then we say, China did it, we didn’t do it, China did it, and then they start fighting with each other and we sit back and watch,” he said of labeling U.S. military planes with Chinese flags and bombing Russia, which was met with laughter from the crowd of donors, according to a recording of the speech obtained by The Washington Post.

His 84-minute address to about 250 of the Republican Party’s top donors at the elite Four Seasons focused heavily on foreign policy and his claims that the 2020 election was “rigged,” as he ticked through a smorgasbord of topics and perceived enemies, using vulgarities and jokes that often drew raucous laughter. Trump also took pictures with some of the party’s top donors and participated in a pricey roundtable for about 10 of them.

Vectored Thrust....which Lockheed perfect after sending their recruiters to the Sukhoi after the Soviets imploded...it is a pity that the F-22 got dumped as it's was meant to replace the aging F-16 fleet....

Boeing still pumps out the F-15EX Strike Eagle....
